Property was very nice and pictures do a good job of showing it. We were able to check in a couple of hours early which I really appreciated since we were only able to stay two nights because of our schedule.Was very disappointed in the cleanliness of hot tub (see picture below) what is that brown stuff in the hot tub? I have lived in a house with a hot tub and have never seen that. When I searched for a place one of the criteria I filtered for was a hot tub and we didn't even use it because it was not clean.I was also disappointed with the fact that the Kerig machine did not work. We use the kcups but had to do improvise and do a pour over instead of using the machine. The toaster was also usable but broken.The subwoofer for the soundbar also would not link to the soundbar. I know many of these things are small things but small things add up. I never did reach out to the owners/caretakers of the property because we spent most of our time in the house and didn't want the interruptions. Our relaxing weekend away was not quite as relaxing as I had hoped for.

Beautiful cabin in the woods

Super clean, well equipped, had everything we needed in the kitchen and bedrooms (dishware, silverware, cooking untensils, pillows, blankets, etc.). The hot tub and fire pit were perfect for the evenings. We loved how secluded the place was. Very thankful to the owners for allowing us to be their guest!

We were in the area for a wedding reception, and luckily found this house. Immaculate property with everything you would want in a house whether it is a short stay, or extended period of time. A very clean house and everything provided, with a relaxing hot tub being a bonus. Communication throughout was perfect - you would be lucky to have a chance to stay here!

Truly a gem, highly recommend!

Our family of 5 stayed over the holidays and could not have asked for a better experience! The hosts were fantastic- quick communication & all the info we needed to prepare in advance.The cabin was stunning, better than photos & loved how they decorated for the holidays! We were comfortable and cozy, loved the fireplaces, hot tub and whirlpool tub. Everything was immaculately clean and kitchen well stocked for cooking. It would be a great romantic getaway but families will also feel at home with board games & plenty of space to relax. Feels remote but was a quick trip to Ferryville, 15 mins across the river to a large nature center, and several hiking options 20-45 mins away (we opted for Wyalusing State Park). The hosts have several properties in the area and we'll absolutely be booking again to try out another! Thank you for the great memories

Great Weekend Get Away!

If you're looking for a quiet spot for a weekend with beautiful views, look no further than this place. Enough room to stretch out and enjoy nature under the stars. Girls weekend getaway

Hidden Gem

Cabin was clean and comfortable, great location, and manager very responsive. Enjoyed watching the bats after sundown. However, may not be the best choice when the weather is very hot and humid. Cabin has 4 wall mounted air conditioners and when all are operating the noise becomes very annoying. On a day when the temperature hit 96 degrees the unit in the upstairs master bedroom could not lower the room temperature below 80 degrees. That night we had to relocate to the downstairs bedroom.

Beautiful and secluded

The cabin is located in a beautiful, secluded spot near the river. It is comfortable and tastefully furnished with a great kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside on the wraparound porch listening to the birds and watching the stars from the hot tub. The quiet setting was just what we needed. Hosts were very accommodating too. We would definitely stay again!

Lovely Hide-away overlooking the Mighty Mississippi

We enjoyed a wonderful 2-wk stay at Hidden Gem. The property is so quiet and secluded. I've never seen our dog so relaxed (us too)! We saw deer and other wildlife daily. The house was comfy and cozy, very well equipped kitchen, great wifi and smart TV and the house was just beautiful. We lacked for nothing out in the wilderness. We canoed the Kickapoo River which is just beautiful and enjoyed the state parks in the area, particularly Pikes Peak and Wyalusing - lots of beautiful hiking trails. Hubby enjoyed fly fishing in a few of the many trout streams in the area. It was a wonderful, relaxing vacation and we'll be back!
