Selbst mein gehbehinderter Mann konnte von hier aus alle Sehenswürdigkeiten bequem zu Fuß erreichen. Dann der Garten, den wir - ein Luxus mitten in Florenz - ganz für uns allein hatten. Last not least Monica, die freundlichste und hilfsbereiteste Gastgeberin, die man sich vorstellen kann. Das Apartment selbst ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Alles da, was man braucht. Eine Oase der Ruhe. Wir hatten absolut keinen Grund zur Klage. Im Gegenteil: Wenn wir wieder nach Florenz kommen (was wir vorhaben), werden wir diese Ferienwohnung rechtzeitig buchen, denn sie ist zu Recht sehr begehrt. Kein Wunder, weil auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt.

We had an amazing stay at Monica’s place. She is very welcoming and accommodating. She helped us find free parking nearby. Her space is warm and joyful and so is she. We were able to relax in her garden and felt spoiled with snacks and drinks.

Our stay at Monica’s Turtle House was special from the moment I booked it through VRBO. Monica was so quick to respond to my questions and greeted us in person at the door with a warm embrace! We had a great 3-night stay in this apartment! The garden and courtyard are very charming and provide a peaceful getaway from packed sight-seeing days. Everything was clean and looked just as pictured. The location is perfect and we loved crossing the bridge everyday with gorgeous views to get across the river. Monica provided excellent communication and was a great host - welcoming us upon our arrival, providing coffee, snacks, and wine for us, and helping to arrange our taxi for our departure. Was truly a great place to stay!

We had a wonderful 2-night stay at the Turtle House and could not have asked for a more wonderful host! Monica is an absolute gem - quick to respond to any questions, met us at the door, made us dinner reservations and arranged for a taxi to our rental car. The property was exactly as portrayed in the photos - clean, quiet, comfortable and convenient location with all of the amenities needed. The garden area off the bedroom is the perfect place to unwind from a full day of exploring Florence. We couldn't be happier with our experience here and would definitely stay again if/when we return to Firenze!

Before we even arrived Monica was reaching out to us and ensuring we would have the best experience possible. When we arrived to her place she was waiting at the door to what is one of the most enjoyable locations we have ever stayed at. Monica has truly thought of everything, the care and charm she put into not only the place but optimizing the guests stay is next level incredible. It felt like staying with family, and that's not even talking about the amazing garden! If you can manage to get a reservation here I think you owe it to yourself to go for it. The location was amazing, it was so central to everything you could possibly want and Monica goes above qnd beyond to enhance that.

From the minute we entered Monica’s magical space we felt the warmth and welcoming magic of her plants and Furry Friends. My husband and I were very happy with our 1 month stay. Monica is an excellent host who was always available to help. She was waiting when we showed up, had plenty of advice on the area and was very considerate. She is generous with supplies, including wine and fruit to welcome us, as well as various snacks. The atmosphere of her apartment is very homelike. It was wonderful to have access to the garden and its view, especially in a city like Florence where the historic center is all paved and few (or no) trees and shrubs. The location of the neighborhood is excellent.

1st let us say that Monica is a deeply beautiful soul inside and out. We made our reservation a couple of months before our trip. I would email her questions and she responded almost immediately every time! Monica is a genuinely kind and caring person. She always answered our questions or she had suggestions if she did not know. This was all before getting there! I had been keeping in touch with Monica as the time of arrival got closer. She was always happy to hear from us and our arrival. The day we arrived, we had walked all the way from the train station because we wanted to. When I was down the street, I texted Monica and she said I will be outside waiting for you. She greeted us like family and that is how we felt the whole time. Now we feel we have a sister in Italy. Monica's apartment is modern & beautifully done. She has an amazing garden that you can sit in and enjoy or walk around a little. There is door through the bedroom leading to the garden. In the early mornings we could hear the sweet sounds of birds singing. This was incredibly special, because we got to rest and rejuvenate in a serene and quiet, nature filled environment. We felt very safe and secure, she has very cool doors leading into her living area. There is a foyer, private area, at the entrance to the front door, with fun lights too. You can sit out there as well. My wife and I were there for 5 nights. We walked everywhere! Everything is about 10-20 minute walk away. We absolutely LOVED the area!!

The property was clean, inviting and very comfortable. Monica is an excellent host, and had the kitchen stocked with all kinds of goods, fresh fruit, drinks and even a bottle of wine. The garden was serene, even though it was not yet in full bloom. There aren’t enough good words to describe the experience. It was close to everything that we wanted to see in Florence and convenient to shopping and restaurants. It was superb! Thank you Monica. We hope to return in the future.

The apartment was quiet and comfortable, with a beautiful garden. It is in a 1000 year old home (!!) on a scenic Florence street a 10-20 minute walk to all of the museums and sights we went to. There are restaurants within a 1-2 minute walk, or all throughout the area. Monica was an extremely gracious and welcoming host (and is fluent in English). The home has been in her family for 5 generations! We’ll be back some day I hope!

The most amazing stay I’ve had across all rental apps. The Turtle house is incredible. Amazing location and the little garden in the back is heaven! It is more incredible than the photos let on. It is an oasis amongst the stone. Short walk to all major locations and awesome shops close by. That’s the place, but the real gem is Monica! She is so kind and thoughtful. She is a treasure to behold. Her little family is now our family. Only place I’ll stay when I’m Florence.

Staying at The Turtle House is like stepping into a private paradise. It is one of the loveliest places we have ever had the pleasure of visiting. The garden is unbelievable, almost as lovely as it's owner/host. Monica is one of a kind; one of the most beautiful people we have ever had the honor of meeting. The Turtle House is so special because of her. We would never dream of staying anywhere else next time we visit bella Firenze! It is located only a few minutes walk from all the major attractions, but feels Iike you're staying in a private bungalow in the Tuscan countryside. If you're thinking about booking The Turtle House- don't hesitate just do it, you won't regret it. There aren't enough stars on Vrbo's scale to rate this property as high as it deserves.
