Wonderful staff and clean room. Anecdotes and breakfast were on point, as well. However, the lobby at night was dirty and not maintained. Mud was tracked throughout, the microwave was flooded with coffee or soup (and had spilled down into the cabinet and floor). I had to clean it up in order to use it.
Also, the interstate noise, engine brakes, sirens and excessively bright parking lot lights all made for poor sleep. (I'm generally not bothered by some sound and light, but this was pretty bad.)
I stayed at a few Tru hotels when they were first launched and I loved them. So much so, that I search for them when traveling. They are certainly pricier, but I decided to pay extra to stay here. Given the location, obvious wear & tear, and lack of detailed attention, I won't choose this one again and will think twice when booking a Tru elsewhere. Not as good as they used to be ... especially for the higher cost over your competitors.
