A 2 night get away and regretted staying here! The bed needs to be thrown away . Bags of mulch on the floor would have been more comfortable.
Cobwebs in the corner of the bathroom and poor lighting made this a less than desirable stay.
Sorry to be blunt but for my expense this was a mistake.
Close to Rialto Beach. Room is tiny -- barely space to walk around the bed. Thin walls; could hear neighbors and they us. The lodge is available to use but unheated. Grounds have some great trees. Overpriced as a whole.
Flight delay caused change in travel plans. Two emails to property about change received no reply. Upon arrival no info available regarding room. Guest let me into lodge where I used phone to call on-site owner/mgr for help. Room was ready and clean, but I wouldn't stay here again. Don't know if I will be charged for unused night or if trip insurance will cover it.
Located in Forks, easy to locate, nestled off a remote road beside a communal lodge. Several little âcabinsâ (some doubkes) with some gravel parking spots beside. Very accommodating hosts. Heat available. No AC. Electricity and WiFi available. Nice hot shower after long camping/hiking adventures. Of note** very very limited food options in the area that stay open past 7-8P. Snacks are essential!
You can tell that the owners are trying but they are falling painfully short of acceptable. There was no opportunity to add a pet to the booking and no communication about a pet policy until after it was reserved and paid for. When we arrived, we were greeted only by an envelope demanding cash to pay for the pet. Who carries cash? There was no indication of where our room was or how to find it. Email from the lodge was in all caps. I donât appreciate being yelled at by a perfect stranger over email as a first introduction. The bed, bedding, and pillows smelled of wet dog. The floor was filthy and stained. There was a strange dark reddish brown stain across an entire wall next to the bed. The walls were paper thin so I could actually hear the neighbors doing their bathroom business. The checkout instructions were sent in email after we had already left. It was so uncomfortable that I got no sleep at all and couldnât get out of there fast enough. The main building was locked so if there are any amenities in there, we had no access to them. It looked cute through the window. I really wanted to like it but I didnât get to experience any of its redeeming qualities.
Simple, charming, rustic, clean accommodations. Fun, unique decor both in our cabin and the main lodge. Bed was comfortable, water was hot and nature was calling! Wonderful stay.
We really enjoyed our stay at Manitou Lodge. The location was absolutely perfect. It is close to Olympic National Park (both hiking and beaches) while also being quiet, peaceful, and secluded. We loved that it is nestled among majestic pines and away from major roadways/traffic. The wraparound porch on the lodge building was a great place for reading and relaxing, and the lodge itself had plenty of fun distractions after a day of hiking and exploring. I am so glad that we found this place!
My husband and I stayed in the eagle room of the cottage for one night. The property is very close to Rialto Beach so we enjoyed a hike and sunset there. The size of the room and bathroom was perfect, with towels and shampoo provided. We didnât use the coffee maker but it was provided. The shower head was our only issue since itâs not possible to move it away from point over you to the wall. Great place and would recommend!
The managers of the property did a great job with setting the place up, and helping me with a special request that I had. The area is quiet and well off the beaten path, tucked into the forest. My only criticism is that the shower was really small and the shower head couldn't be aimed lower than face height on the opposing wall.
I'm definitely keeping this place in mind for booking again and hopefully bringing more people with me next time.
Secluded and beautiful, I had a great stay at this property. The inn was beautiful and a nice common area to read and pass the time. I loved being able to sit out on the patios and enjoy the quiet nature. There was also a trail that wrapped around the property which was nice to walk with the dogs!
