The layout is pretty crazy and one of the two bathrooms has 3 doorways, one of which has no door and faces the main front area of the house including the kitchen/dining area. Truck or SUV recommend with 4x4 if it’s raining. Very remote, which I’m okay with.

Very cute property I was glad that we were the only ones that had rented the house. It would’ve been a little awkward with other people a hot tub saved the day. It was very nice. Cover was very tricky to get back on. Felt like they could’ve spruce up the property of it with some fresh plants. And lots of dead stuff could use a spruce up.

Excellent hosts

Nick and Ericka were extremely attentive and gracious hosts! The place looks exactly like the pics, and the hosts went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable! Nick lit the bonfire for us each night, they had all the things you don't think of- charcoal for the grill, big spray, etc. Definitely recommend this place for some peace and relaxation!!

Get Away

Bed was SUPER comfortable. Zip lining, Horseback riding and springs all within an hour. wish ROCU had the major news networks. and the driveway is an an adventure in itself.

Perfect to reconnect with nature

The property is quaint and off the beaten track. The property owners treated us like family; we could not have asked for a more enjoyable trip. If you’re looking for shopping and spas, etc. The property is about a half hour from town, so this is might not be the place for you. It’s exactly what we were looking for though.

My family and I have stayed in a number of rentals over the years, and though we understand there aren't too many options when renting in this part of Florida, we did not feel this cabin was worth the price. The kitchen was not the most well-equipped and the refrigerator made a lot of noise throughout the night. We were thankful to be close to the lake, which is why we selected the cabin, but we felt it was overpriced.

Rural Experience

Erika and Nick are very accommodating hosts. Rental is nice. This is a very rural experience so make sure that is what you are looking for. Road in is dirt and very rough. Which was fine for us. Note: there is no pool as stated.

Cozy stay

We enjoyed our stay here, it was clean, cozy, and matched all the photos. I will say that I wish I had known the last 0.3 miles of the drive is very rough dirt roads. I would have driven the Jeep instead of the brand new Camry. Other than that, it was a pleasant visit.

Deep in the Florida woods

The husband & I do not care for the big cities & towns. So Jaunita’s Cabin was just right. It’s cozy. It’s comfortable. It’s delightful.It’s right close to the Ocklawaha River which is awesome.Salt Springs just down the road. Fabulous.If you want city-like conveniences and attractions, choose elsewhere. But if you want the peace & quiet of the Florida woods this is a lovely spot. We stayed for the month of November 2024. Loved it.Oh and the pet chickens were a sweet surprise.Nick & Erika were excellent hosts.For us, it was thoroughly delightful.
