Peaceful Cabin Overlooking the Bogue Chitto River

  • Peaceful, secluded cabin right on the Bogue Chitto River. A private beach sand bar on the river is just a walk away. The views from the huge porch overlooking the river and all the nature it has to offer are second to none. It is a wonderful place with modern amenities tucked away in peaceful seclusion near the Bogue Chitto River.

    I must add a disclaimer: being so close to the river can present logistical difficulties. When the river floods, the cabin is inaccessible. Thankfully, this only happens a few times per year. But in the event that the river rises to unacceptable levels during a booking, guests will receive a full refund for any unused time, as holding anyone accountable for the actions of nature doesn't seem fair to me.

Had a great time staying here. The camp was very clean and well kept, and the location on the river was hard to beat. We loved sitting out on the patio and enjoying the view. Everything was exactly as expected, and we couldn't have asked for a better place for a relaxing weekend. Would definitely come back.

The house was recently updated and in great condition. We enjoyed the relative seclusion and quite area. The furnishings in the house were excellent with stone counter tops, nice appliances and over the top nice showers. Communication with the Host was spot on. We would definitely stay there again.

The cabin was very rural but easy to find once given the directions. It was on beautiful land and the cabin itself was gorgeous. It was nicely stocked with kitchen wear, seasonings, cosmetics for the bathroom, etc. very clean and cozy with lovely views of the Bogue Chitto.

Boys trip

Great spot for our annual boys trip. Was able to watch football, grill, and swim in the river. Great secluded location and the owner was very helpful. Bathrooms were incredible. Would definitely go back.

Great Cabin!

We loved our time at the cabin. The weather was perfect and the kids had a great time down by the beach digging and collecting rocks. They also loved the hammock! The yard was huge so we were able to play a lot of Bocce.

peaceful getaway

It is a spacious cabin with all of the amenities of a home. It is located on the water for easy access to swimming or kayaking. The property is large and near a private beach access. It is a very relaxing home away from home! Communication with the owner and host was superb. I definitely recommend this property.

Beautiful quiet spot

This place was amazing! The owners were very accommodating after our 22 hour drive. We were able to get in early so we didn't have to putz around town with the dogs. It was so quiet and calming after the drive. We really appreciated it all.
