Wunderschönes Haus in Nähe der National Parks
Schönes Ferienhaus, sauber und gepflegt. Beschreibung im Online-Inserat stimmt mit der Wirklichkeit überein. Es war alles notwendige Vorhanden. Die Anfahrbeschreibung war so gut, das wir das Haus selbst bei Dunkelheit ohne Probleme gefunden haben. Die Lage ist optimal um mehre National Parks zu besuchen. Wenn wir noch mal in diese Gegend kommen würden, würden wir dieses Haus sofort wieder mieten bzw. auch unseren Freunden und Bekannten empfehlen.

We had a great time. We honestly weren't in the house much because there was so much to do and we were s busy. The house was very nice though. It was clean and spacious. Old house, nicely updated
This is an old house with lots of character. There were four little playrooms that the kids loved. Everything was clean and there was lots of room. The bathrooms and kitchen are updated and nice. My only complaint is that there was only one TV way down in the basement which was freezing cold when we stayed. It would have been nice to have a TV in one of the several sitting rooms on the main floor.

A Perfect Getaway
We absolutely loved staying at this property. We wanted to spend time together as a family, and we did! We made good use of the games in the cabinets as well as the chess board, and the bin of sports equipment in the garage. The location was close to amazing hiking experiences of all levels. We really enjoyed Belly of the Dragon and Toadstools. The Best Friends Animal Sanctuary was also so fun! The home had so many beds that everyone was comfy. We would love to stay here again.

Amazing Spring Break!!
The eight of us (3 adults, 4 big teens, the dog) loved our stay! The property was beautiful, had tons of space for everyone to spread out, was stocked with all essentials, and was the perfect “travel from” location. We visited Bryce Canyon, Zion, Kanab Caves, Sand Dunes, and did a trip to Flagstaff (NAU). The scenery for all trips was beautiful! After a day of driving and exploring, we came back to the house to unwind, cook dinner, and hang out together. It was perfect, and having a home that was so well maintained and comfortable made it even more so!

Third time staying here!
We love the Jackson house, so much in fact, that we have stayed there three times now. The house is so charming and the kids love all the playrooms and toys. It’s always very clean and well stocked with everything in the kitchen. Will be staying there again!

Awesome house!!
Stayed for 2 weeks. Great house with tons of character. Very clean, kitchen has everything you need, lots of parking (we had a trailer), king and queen mattresses are very comfortable (did not use other beds). Highly recommend this home!!! We will definitely stay again.

Perfect stop on our way to North Rim of Grand Canyon
Lovely older home with tons of character. We were on a month long camping trip and needed a break. House had everything we needed and was a great resting place. Probably could have done day trips to other national parks from this house. We were able to pull our trailer up next to the large garage, clean everything out and resupply before continuing our adventure.

House and location was great. Nice to sit in there rocking chairs and watch traffic pass the green front yard lined with trees and a picket fence. Very picturesque. The side yard was very nice too. Only about an hour to Zion or Grand Canyon and tons of other stuff. The stuff that could be better, -WiFi doesn’t reach basement, minor inconvenience and mildly annoying. -Slow draining shower😢 -the beds…. By far the beds are the most disappointing thing of the whole stay. I would highly recommend replacing every single bed.

We have already placed an order for new beds and contacted our handyman to come fix the slow drain in the shower. If you visit our home again, try using the wifi booster network. It has much better service in the basement. We value the feedback from our guests and hope you visit our home again soon. ** Update: King bed has been completely replaced with platform bed and new firm memory foam mattress. Queen bed memory foam plush. Twin beds Sealy beds.

old house problems
The HVAC system is not properly designed. Some rooms were too cold, others too hot. Also, house is sinking on one side, so the head of the bed is slightly lower than the feet, causing stomach acid to creep into your throat while you sleep. Turn your body around, like I did to counter act.

We have never received a low star rating on our home and were surprised to learn that you had issues during your stay. Our home was built in the early 1900’s and was carefully restored. Although all flooring is not completely level, we assure you the foundation is solid and level. We have been renting our home out to guests for over twelve years and you are the first to mention this issue of a slanting bed. We will be visiting our home this month for annual maintenance and can make sure the bed is level and change any vents that do not close. We take care to make improvements when mentioned by guests to make sure our home is a wonderful place for guests.

Excellent Unique Prlace to Stay
Stayed here over New Years with lots of rain and some snow. Would absolutely consider staying here again if we were in the area. Huge house on a nice private lot. It is on the main road through town so there was some traffic and police pulling over cars all day. Wasn't too noisy though, never noticed anything at night, and if you are in the basement you won't hear anything. The garage was a huge plus since the weather was not the best. I was able to pull in a Jeep Gladiator Mojave with plenty of room all around. It's an old house so there are some quirks. The space heaters don't really do much in the larger spaces. However, the main level can be kept at a good temperature using the thermostat, and the space heater in the master bedroom is more than enough. Everything was clean with the exception of the couches which were fabric. They all made my allergies flare up, but covering them with a blanket we brought helped a lot. Wish they were leather since they are easier to keep clean but we made it work.

Thank you for staying at our home. Winter is a peaceful time to visit. We have new couches downstairs and this should help with allergies. The main heater was just serviced and now provides more heat to the home.

The big, old house was so much fun. It has been updated and the heating was so nice, even when it snowed. It is modern and very comfortable while keeping its old charm. We used it as a base for day trips to Zion, Bryce, etc. Even the internet was good. We would have no hesitation about returning.

Lovely home. Clean and comfortable. Had more space than expected. Only problem, which is minor, coffee pot filter with old grounds and mold. But we are all adults and after everyone had a look( they just had to) we cleaned it up.

Absolutely Wonderful
This was the perfect place for myself, my husband, my sister, and her three teenagers. The house was so comfortable and gave us space to spread out and re-group during our long road trip to see 5 National Parks. The owners shared photos of their renovations and did such an amazing job keeping the history of the house with modern comfort. The location is excellent and we were able to do Zion and Bryce with short(ish) drives to both and then able to come back for a wonderful evening at the house. Very grateful for this oasis on our trip and would highly recommend as a stop!

Great home and central location

Best place to stay in Fredonia
Lovely historic home with a large pleasant yard. The home was fantastic for our family of five and our dog. Unfortunately we all came down with the flu and were too sick to go enjoy the outdoor activities we had planned. The house was very comfortable and my husband and kids played some pool and enjoyed the rope swing. The town of Fredonia is very small and there was a constant buzz of traffic as people were driving through. It was pretty amusing to watch the police officer park near the front of the house and pulling over all the speeding drivers.

Great house for family or large group
Location was easy to find, great house with a ton of privacy and space to spread out. The beds were so comfortable but there are only 2 queens in the house. 2 trundle beds and tons of sleeping pads and places to put kids in the nooks of the small spaces. Kids loved the toys and space of their own. There was a large garage for kids to play in on chilly nights and a very private fenced yard behind the house. Plenty of extra blankets and towels. The only downfall was we blew through the soap in 2 days. We only had 4 adults showering and there was not enough bar soap. I can see how the upstairs could get really hot in the summer. We were very comfortable and didn’t touch the thermostat. I would not put kids in the crawl space rooms in the summer time. They had little heaters in rooms that we turned on a couple times but were very comfortable the entire stay. Bring your own coffee if you prefer something more than Folgers. Nobody really cared in our group. We cooked two nights in the home. The only tricky thing was a really good knife to cut fruits/veggies/cheese. Otherwise, they had everything to cook. They even had trays upon trays of ice and we used them and just filled them up each morning. We ate out two nights as well. In March it’s very hit or miss what’s open in town so call ahead. We ate early to beat crowds. Everything about Kanab was great and only a 5 min drive from the house. The grocery store had everything you might need. Cops patrol right in front of the house. The cop was literally pulling drivers over every 15-30 minutes morning and night. DO NOT SPEED. Ample parking and space for vehicles and trailers. It was a great house for families! I would stay again.

We were blown away with how awesome and fun this house was. Very kid friendly, dog friendly, and just overall a great place for everyone. Nice, big, stocked kitchen with lots of supplies. Big dining room, fun basement game room, and just a way fun layout. Traci is an amazing host and was very easy and friendly to communicate and coordinate with. Great stay!
We needed a home base for a week of adventure and this was the perfect place! It was very clean upon arrival. There was plenty of space for the five of us and our dog. We have stayed at Vrbos all over the world and we have never stayed at one that was so well stocked with items. Although our kids were convinced that the house is haunted, they still loved hanging out in the play areas off of the rooms The area was quiet and safe and it was a quick drive into Kanab for restaurants, has and groceries.

Perfect House
This is an amazing base camp for everything you want to do in the area. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are amazing, the tv room is a perfect place to unwind from the day. The towels are super fluffy and the shower is amazing! The claw foot bathtub was so relaxing. Perfect place for a family get away. We will be coming back for sure. Couldn't ask for anything more.

Nice, clean property. Very spacious and well stocked. Teens loved the basement hangout space. Decor was a little odd, (garage sale hodgepodge along with some personal photos) but not off-putting. The heating and cooling a bit of a trick. Heat on main floor only and cooling on 2nd floor only. It was cold when we were there so we just used heat. Some space heaters were provided in 2 of the upstairs bedrooms but not the 3rd so it was a little chilly in that room but we only really slept in it so it wasn't that big of a deal for us. Back yard was very nice but with the colder weather we didn't get to take advantage of it. Enjoyed traveling to Zion, Bryce, and Grand Canyon. Not much in Fredonia to speak of (gas station and carwash) but Kanab a 5-10 min drive had whatever we needed for shopping/restaurants.

Great stay at the Jackson House
We had a wonderful week at the Jackson House. The location is perfect to visit the various national parks without ever packing to move to another location. The house was very roomy and the hosts provided anything we needed. Our 3 year old granddaughter especially loved the fenced back yard and playing with the toys in the alcoves upstairs. We would definitely recommend to anyone visiting southern Utah/Northern Arizona.

Perfect location for visit to North Rim of Grand Canyon
This warm home is located perfectly for a visit to the G.C., a 1 1/2 hour beautiful drive through the forest. We had plenty of room for our party of 7 and were able to cook our own meals and avoid eating out — very little mask compliance or recognition of the pandemic in this area, so be advised.

Wonderful house and location
Lovely, large, comfortable and thoughtfully supplied home in quiet Fredonia. We loved sitting on the front porch in the evenings listening to the crickets and town dogs. A very short drive to Kanab, where we found a couple of great restaurants- Wild Thyme and Vermillion 45. The house was very central to Grand Canyon, Zion and Bryce. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend the place!

A Wonderful Stay
My family and I stayed for several days. We cooked several big meals and there was more than enough cookware to accommodate, which was wonderful. The house is full of charm and overall very comfortable to hang around in, as well as on the front porch, or in the back yard. If you're looking to explore the surrounding area of Kanab and Fradonia this is the perfect place to stay.
