Man ist hier mitten in der wunderschönen Natur Montana's. Berge, dichter Nadelwald und alles duftet auch herrlich nach Nadelwald! Wer sich mal "ausklinken" will, der ist hier genau richtig. Allerdings ist es sehr abgeschieden und es gibt weder Tankstelle oder einen Supermarkt in der unmittelbaren Nähe. Man muss wissen, worauf man sich einlässt.

Finger weg in der Off-Season!!!
Wir hatten einen Aufenthalt für 4 Nächte inkl. Frühstück für Mitte Oktober gebucht. Es hieß, dass der Check-In nicht vor 16 Uhr statt finden dürfe, weshalb wir erst kurz nach 16 Uhr eintrafen. Auf der Ranch befand sich außer uns niemand. Unser wurde lapidar der Zimmerschlüssel an das Fenster der eigentlichen Rezeption geklebt (den hätte sich jeder nehmen können!!!) mit den Hinweis, sie wären vom 12.10. mittags bis einschließlich 14.10. mittags im Urlaub, im Notfall sollten wir eine Nummer wählen. Das Restaurant, in dem wir eigenlich unser Frühstück bekommen sollten (war auch im Preis enthalten), war wegen Renovierung geschlossen, da hieß es einfach Pech gehabt! Es gab keinerlei Angebote wie Reiten, Lagerfeuer etc, obwohl es der wunderbare Indian Summer und die angenehmen Temperaturen leicht hergegeben hätten. Uns wurde dann im Örtchen Big Sky erklärt, dass ab Anfang Oktober bis Ende November die sogenannte Off-Season vorherrschen würde, d.h. fast keine Leute, kaum offene Shops und nur ein Restaurant, das wirklich Mittag- und Abendessen anbieten würde. Alles in allem waren wir sehr enttäuscht, trotz der malerischen Landschaft Montanas, da im Internet bei Buchung nirgends erwähnt wurde, dass im Oktober fast keinerlei Aktivitäten geboten werden und man mehr oder weniger die Zeit tot schlagen muss. Also, Finger weg in der Off-Season, falls man nicht gerade als Einsiedler leben will.

Restaurant was closed, only serving breakfast. They had a power failure, and it took 3-4 hours to finally move us to a section and unit that had power. Desk staff was confused on what to do, and later a decision maker showed up and the move worked out OK. Stayed two nights instead of three.

Typically, such incidents affect the entire ranch, but we were fortunate to have a few powered cabins to accommodate our guests. We understand that you had to cut your visit short due to personal reasons. We regret any inconvenience caused and hope to have the chance to host you again under more favorable circumstances.

Clean, depends on what you want. No TV, no services, in winter closest restaurant 20 -25 minutes. Try to present a ranch kind of feel, but it is so close to the road and the other cabins, more like a nice roadside motel. Very muddy in later winter and spring.

We had the most lovely and serene experience at the 320 Guest Lodge. The property is secluded and had a wonderful cozy cabin feel. Breakfast was exactly what we needed before a ski day! It was true Western delight!

Great stay at your cabins and great breakfast. I would just recommend more hooks in the cabin (for ski gear in winter) and more light; as for breakfast more choice of fruit would be welcome. Apart from that all was great !

We visited this property in the winter (late Dec) as a stopping point between Bozeman and W. Yellowstone. What we liked: staff, hot buffet breakfast, mountains and river nearby and cleanliness. What we felt was lacking: there isn’t much to do on the grounds in winter so I felt the price point was a little high, the bathroom was freezing!! and the bed was very uncomfortable (but I know that’s a personal preference). I’ve heard so many positive things about 320 Guest Ranch but I was underwhelmed. Could have been the time of year we visited.

Unfortunately I arrived in the off season when the restaurant was closed and there were no amenities. The continental breakfast was disappointing, at least in the off season. However the cabin was nice, and the stream running outside was relaxing. I would stay here again, but in season.

To accommodate for some of the amenities we don't offer in the low seasons, our guest do get to take advantage of a lower cabin price at this time. I really enjoyed my stay here. If you’re looking for a rustic, cabin vibe on a beautiful ranch property - this is your hotel! The only reason I gave 4 stars is due to the bathroom light not working but if I had been staying longer I’m sure they would have fixed it quickly for me. Breakfast is included and was surprisingly delicious for a free hotel breakfast. Definitely recommend this one!

Everything was closed when we arrived at 8pm. Website lead us to believe the restaurant, lodge and other amenities would be available. It was explained to us that this is the ‘should season’ when properties prepare to close for their off-season. If I had known it was off season, I would have booked elsewhere. Also, beds were hard and uncomfortable. Lastly, there were too many stairs to carry luggage and reach room. Disappointed given the nightly room rate.

Comfortable accommodations in our cabin. A table lamp that was missing a lightbulb got replaced quickly. The breakfast which was included at McGills restaurant was awesome. We also had dinner one night at McGills and it was very good as well. I did the 2 hour horseback trail ride. It was fun and easy.

This was our third stay at 320, even though it is out of our way to return to our home in Iowa. We love it! It is quiet and easy going and well worth the price! The McGills restaurant is fantastic, serving excellent breakfast, bar, and dinner items. We even spend one or two days backtracking to Yellowstone and shopping in West Yellowstone. I highly recommend the 320 cabins and McGills restaurant!

The location was perfect. Not far from Yellowstone entrance. The cabin was exactly what we were hoping for. Staff was polite and helpful. Continental breakfast was excellent. Just a wonderful atmosphere all around.

Great experience! We loved our stay at the 320 Guest Ranch! My husband and I took a one hour horseback trail ride and also enjoyed a 3mile hike nearby. The staff are so friendly, and the food at McGill’s restaurant was great!! Get away to nature and a western experience at 320 Guest Ranch!

Very nice cabins but I am Not happy with the amount I spent for what I got. The coffee maker was used and full of grounds. The soap dispenser in bathtub doesn’t work very well. The breakfast buffet was a 4, food cold. The restaurant was closed so we had to go Find a place to eat for dinner, both nights. For what I paid I expected something a whole lot better.

And yes - our on-ranch restaurant McGill's - is only open Thursday - Monday in the summer season, and is only open seasonally. There are great restaurants in Big Sky, so we do hope you enjoyed your dinning experience there - our staff is always happy to offer suggestions. We appreciate your honest review and will take your comments into consideration. We hope to see you again in the future.

We really liked the fact this was a working ranch. The staff was great and they were great to interact with. The fact that they don’t have TV would bother most people, but not us, it was great to disconnect from the news and just enjoy the ranch and Montana.
