The trash can was spilled over in the drive way by the front door when we arrived. It was not picked up until the next day, ceiling fan remotes were missing so we couldn't use the fans unless we left the over head lights on all night, the toilet in the downstairs bathroom did not fill back up with water when you flushed, the house smelled like moth balls and messed with my allergies all weekend, there was a soaking wet towel in the upstairs bathroom in a drawer. Also, the stand up shower in the master bedroom was wet on the floor inside and outside so we didnt use it incase of a leak, but there was a lot of water on the floor. There were also large bones in the back yard that one of my dogs got a hold of and i threw the other one. Not sure what time of bone it was.

The house was beautiful and the pool wonderful! So much space for my family. Is in a great location. We had a couple things pop up but they sent maintenance out right away to fix. Maintenance was really nice. No complaints. Would definitely rent this house again.

Yes, the whole house was dirt the blanket smell not clean the walls were dirty the restaurants were dirty they smell overall the house was very dirty I am assuming it was because of the month that we stay but still the house was dirty not enough pants to cook if I would’ve known I would’ve brought my own stuff the house needs a lot of improvement the floor was falling apart the carpet was very dirty it didn’t seem like it has been vacuumed in the sheets were dirty I wish you had sitting more sitting areas of side like a table to Dino sigh I just need the house needs a lot of improvement

Comfortable temp. Loved that it was pet friendly. Master bath tub would not hold water. We noticed trash behind the nightstand and under the sofa. Kitchen could have been better equipped only two very small pans. Needed a larger one to cook breakfast tacos. No serving bowls to make a pasta salad. Home needs some TLC especially the floors in master. Pool was nice. The mosquitoes were swarming at the front door and back yard. All that being said i would stay here again. The price was right and the location was good. Mostly it’s hard to find dog friendly locations. Beds were comfy and clean.

Home sits on a berm with nice views of the slightly rural neighborhood. (Horses next door) Pool and deck were nice. The pool is at the bottom of the berm and difficult to access for older adults with mobility limitations. Floors were delaminating especially in bathrooms. They were also a bit damp and dirty. Otherwise everything was clean and well stocked. They even had a spare refrigerator. Fortunately we brought our own coffee. The cannister only contained filters. Bedroom with queen and bunk beds was too small to fully open the bedroom door. Bedroom with 2 queens was missing the fan and light control but a floor fan was provided. Driveway is steep but ample parking for 5 cars. No shower for guests who sleep downstairs in the game room, so all (potentially 18) guests (except the 2 in the master suite) must use the hall bath to shower. The shower curtain is too short to keep water in the tub so you must use your towel to mop up the floor. Only enough detergent for 1 load of towels so either bring detergent or extra towels. 1 washcloth and towel provided per guest. Not as close to the beach as we expected but the house was comfortable for 10 adults in our group.

Overall, the visit was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed the location and the pool, and there was ample space to accommodate our entire group comfortably. The only minor issue we encountered was that in one of the rooms, the light and ceiling fan could not be operated independently.

Family of eight adults and three kiddos stayed in this home. The space of the rooms, living room, kitchen and dinning area was good and everyone fit comfortably. It’s the small cosmetic things that could boost this place up such as new couches, new mattresses, repair some of the flooring that has tape on them to hold them down in the game room, replacing shower heads that looked to have mold on it such as the one in the master bath upstairs. The kitchen did have small sugar ants crawling around and the back yard especially around the pool had lots of ants as well. If you’re turned off by some of those small cosmetic things then maybe this house isn’t for you but if you can deal with it then you’ll be okay. The pool was cleaned on the second day we were there and the water felt great. Would I stay here again or recommend to family and friends, possibly if some of those things could be fixed.

House was not clean or safe for the amount of money we paid for. The steps from outside patio to pool are unsafe for any age. Cleanliness was not a priority, and fumagating is a must with ants found in bedroom. Issues have already been submitted to rental property management.

Very disappointed! This property is located in a great location but it is not a good property to rent unless improvements are made. Check-in was smooth but upon arrival trash receptacles with lots of stinky trash as you approach the entrance to the front door. We did send a message and they came and moved the trash to the street.Kitchen facilities terrible. Ants everywhere in the kitchen. They got in our food in the pantry and all over the cabinets. Items that were listed as available were not available as stated such salt & pepper, etc. We requested maintenance to bring spray but they did not ever bring it.Flooring needs to be fixed. Planks warped and sticking up….dangerous and a fall hazard.Fire alarms went off at 10:30 pm the second night we were there due to low batteries . No batteries available on the property and no ladder to change the batteries. My husband (65 years) had to climb in a bar stool to replace the battery so we could make it stop. We had to go to the store and purchase them at 11:00 pm. Broken faucet in master bath, washer was broken and had a comforter and sheets inside that the cleaning team left in water because the washer would not drain, none of the wall Clocks had batteries in them so they did not work, microwave light did not work, pool filter was not working properly so pool was dirty.We paid a lot of money to stay there and all they would say when you called them was “send us a photo regarding the issue”.

It was a nice place. It does need some updates and repairs. The flooring need to be redone in some places, we couldn’t use the bath tub because one of the handles was broken off, but there were showers, however the water pressure wasn’t good in the master bathroom. Other than that, it served its purpose for us!

Galveston Fun in the Sun

This property was perfect for our family of 16, there was plenty of space for all of us. The place was tidy and clean. The kids enjoyed the pool and the game room very much! The location of the place is close to everything, but far enough from the busyness, which was great!! The host was amazing kept us well informed of house rules and regulations. Check in and out was easy. Thank you for hosting us and allowing us to make lasting and meaningful memories!!

The pictures are not accurate in terms of cleanliness and beautiful put together house. However, the space description is accurate. The house needs work and I won’t ever rent a house again from Beach Box Management Company. The kitchen cabinet door are falling off. Everything is sticky. The floor is taped together. The dishwasher is about to fall out of its hole. Sink disposal back dirty water into dishwasher. One of the bedroom door is falling off door jam. Plug shower drain in upstairs bathroom. Damaged Sheetrock all over. Back porch boards uneven/slashed rotten. Good location and great piece of property. And very spacious for a large group. For the amount of money they are renting this house for, they aren’t investing in the bettering the house. Pool was murky and sandy. I sent photos the first day and no response. We had to fill up the pool to get the pumps to work. Broken chair in pool area.

I would rate this place a 5/10. Pros - nice pool, a 5 minute drive to the beach which you can pay 15 to drive up on for the day, game room which the kids loved. Bedding and towels were clean before use. Property management company was easy to get in contact with. Cons - located off a busy road so you are NOT allowed to rent a golf cart for the house, I wish this would have been more obvious in the listing. The house is a bit beat up and run down, you can tell they do not care much about keeping it in pristine condition. The floor was coming up in some places, even held together by tape in the game room. The cabinets, paint on the walls, and furniture are beat up a bit. Some of the kitchen stuff provided wasn’t clean, we had to clean everything before use. Located off a busy road so if you have littles you have to worry about, make sure that front door is locked. Driveway is really steep as well. Overall, the house served its purpose for the weekend but I would not want to stay here again for the amount of money spent, we could have found something better taken care of and in a better location.

House of as clean, there was a smell of sewer in laundry room. Dishwasher was full of stinky water, responded about sending out maintenance but my sons fixed it and we had no other issues. Kids loved the pool and game area.

Family getaway

Check in was easy. Location was great. Away from the craziness of the hotel area, the beach was a quick 2 minute drive, and shopping and restaurants were just ten minutes away. There was plenty of room for us all to be comfortable.
