Everything was wonderful!! Communication was wonderful the cabin was beautiful decorated for Christmas and plenty of room. The experience was awesome for a family Christmas. I highly recommend.

We had a great girls trip here. House was nice and clean. The bears visited us as soon as we arrived which we absolutely loved. Plenty of room for all of us, beds were comfortable and there is an absolute beautiful view off the deck. I would recommend shopping before you get there if you want coffee or tea in the morning. We thought there was going to be coffee pods when we arrived (at least enough for the first day, but unfortunately there wasn’t, which really isn’t a big deal. Just make sure you bring them with you. We had a great time here and I would definitely recommend this home and would go back again. We’ve already started planning our trip here for next year.

We had a great time! The view from the deck is fantastic (overlooking the mountains and Gatlinburg) and we enjoyed that a lot. They also had kids plates and cups and cutlery and a pack n play which was really helpful. The parking situation seemed to be one of the better ones on the mountain, and we could easily fit our two SUVs. Would recommend!

Gatlinburg family Vacation

This house is the perfect place to stay in Gatlinburg! The view off the deck is amazing, especially at night when you can see Gatlinburg all lit up!! We had 11 of us stay here-age range adults,13, 7, & 3 and it fit us all comfortably. All pots/pans, silverware, plates, cups provided (just bring cooking spices). They have wifi and we had great service with it. The house is close to town with a huge variety of things to do. The owners of the house answered all our questions quickly and communicated with us throughout our trip. We also got to see a mama bear and her 2 cubs walk right by the front door! We had a great vacation and will definitely be booking here again!

The property was nice. The only thing we didn’t like about it was the lower bedroom didn’t have a closet or a dresser so those folks had to live out of their suitcase, the top bedroom didn’t have a closet and they had a lot of clothes that they wanted to hang. We thought the pool was right on the property-I probably didn’t read closely enough about the pools. The dogs were very difficult to take out due to the amount of bear we saw. The grass right at the chalet was too high for them to use that area, so we had to walk up the hills, scared to death of the bear. We had bear every day looking in the windows LOL! We were thrilled to se the bear but at the same time were a little fearful. I know you don’t have any control over this, but the water pressure was very weak. The hot tub never did go above 99 degrees even though we had it set to 102. But overall a nice place

Wonderful property!

We had a great time at this property. The accommodations were great and the amenities were plenty. Comfortable, clean, and large enough for our family of 5 (adults and teens). My only complaint was that the mattresses were very firm and I did not find them super comfortable but the rest of my family did not have a problem with them :)

The property was excellent with the best views we've had yet in the Smokies. The property was very clean and well taken care of with plenty of kitchen ware and towels. Chris was very helpful with quick communication. We would definitely visit the property again.

Easter Weekend

Our family of five and our dog loved our long weekend and celebrating Easter in your beautiful home, plenty of room for everyone! Our 3 young boys had a blast in the game room and enjoyed watching the gondola pass by. We watched the sunrise outside on the deck every morning! This home is clean, well maintained, and fully stocked. We also loved the proximity to downtown Gatlinburg and the national park entrance which made exploring the area easy. The property owners had great communication both leading up to and throughout our stay. Our boys are already asking if we can visit again :)

Great house...highly recommend

Amazing property! We had 3 couples in their 50's for a long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, game room, and the incredible views from the decks. You're overlooking Gatlinburg at night and it's beautiful. The only thing I would suggest is when driving in go through town and take Ski Mountain road up. It's much easier. Totally worth the windy roads to stay in such an outstanding rental. It was very clean, well stocked with towels, blankets, etc. and the kitchen supplies - pots, pans, cookware - was better than any other rental we've stayed in. The owners were extremely communicative without being bothersome. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay

My family of 6 with 4 kids in their 20s LOVED the chalet. It's location was perfect for hiking in the park and getting to town. The pool table and hot tub were also huge hits. The house was very welcoming for the holidays- it even had a beautifully decorated Christmas tree!

A wonderful place to stay

This is my THIRD time this year staying at this cabin. I seriously cannot say enough amazing things about this place and the owners Chris and Morgan. I have stayed at other cabins this year and this is by far the best place we’ve ever been to. The view alone is absolutely breathtaking, the amenities are wonderful, the hot tub and grill were so nice to have, and Chris and Morgan go above and beyond for their guests. I have so many heath problems that require special accomplishments and have prevented me from staying anywhere on vacation for years and they have provided everything needed to keep me safe and more. It snowed while we were there and the internet was running slower in the entire area so I texted them in the middle of the night to let them know and Morgan responded within 2-3 minutes to let me know she was in contact with the internet provider. She took care of the problem right away and we were able to enjoy the internet very shortly after again. The same day the power went out due to the snowstorm and again, they responded instantly to work on getting it fixed and reported and they had an update almost instantly and the power came back on within 30 minutes. It’s truly a combination of things that make this place so great but I will never forget the incredible memories we made here and will never plan to stay anywhere else. Morgan and Chris have it all. If you’re looking for a beautiful view with lots of space and extra accommodations look no further!!

The perfect getaway

Chris and Morgan are hands down the best chalet owners I’ve ever stayed with. My family and I recently stayed with them and I had such an incredible time I went back 5 days later with my boyfriend and our best friend! I have multiple disabilities and for years travel has been impossible. Not anymore!! Any and every accommodation I needed they made happen and then some. The view is spectacular, the chalet is fully stocked and the game room is incredible. I don’t ever want to stay anywhere else and we WILL be coming back here indefinitely. Thank you Chris and Morgan for giving me something money could never buy me.

An Unforgettable Experience!!

From the moment we booked our trip Chris and Morgan have been going above and beyond for me and my family. My daughter has multiple health conditions and has special needs so she hasn’t been able to go on vacation with us for so long. They worked so hard to ensure a safe place for her to stay. The view was absolutely breathtaking, the best we’ve ever seen and we’ve been to a LOT of chalets. We loved sitting together on the top deck as a family, grilling out and relaxing. The rooms were very clean and inviting and there was lots of storage for our belongings. The pool room downstairs was AMAZING and the hot tub was so relaxing! They truly exceeded all of our expectations and because of their understanding and the extra steps they took to prepare the chalet for us my daughter was finally able to safely enjoy a vacation again since her diagnoses with NO issues!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Papa Bear Chalets, we will be staying with you again!

Perfect Cabin above Gatlinburg

We had a great time at Papa Bear Chalet. This house was a perfect size for our group (5 adults and 2 kids). We especially enjoyed spending time on the massive decks, taking in the beautiful view of the Smokies above Gatlinburg. The location provided easy access into Gatlinburg and the national park. We saw lots of bears, and the access to the community pools was great for the hot summer days. If you're taking a trip to the Smokies, we would definitely recommend staying here!
