Leider ist die Umwelt inzwischen schwer beeinträchtigt. Kein klares Meerwasser mehr, Ganzjährig Quallen. Ständiger Jet-Ski Lärm. Das Hotelpersonal ist extrem freundlich. Sehr gut auch der nahegelegene Nighmarket mit den Food-Courts.

Grosses Hotel mit wunderschönem Garten
Das schönste in der Hotelanlage ist der Garten mit altem Baumbestand, Palmen und Blumen, sehr gepflegt. Das Hotel ist schön etwas älter aber sehr gepflegt und vieles renoviert. Leider wenig Liegen direkt am Strand, dafür aber im Garten mit schönem Pool und freundlichem Service. Durch Jetski und ähnl. Motorsport ist es manchmal am Strand direkt laut. Das Meer kam uns nicht besonders sauber und klar vor.

Gardenwing im Februar 2018
Tolles Hotel, tolle Anlage, viele wunderschöne alte Bäume die Schatten geben, sehr gepflegt. Kids im Gardenwing stören nicht.Essen Innen etwas voll da Chinese new Year. Wir waren zum Esssen immer draußen da wir die Wärme haben wollten im deutschen Winter. Das Essen a la Kart im Hotel war gut und nicht viel teurer als im Ort. Das ist nicht immer so. Der Strand wird allgemein wenig genutzt da steil abfallend, das haben wit aber nicht vermisst da die weiträumige Außenanlage so schön war. Das Meerwasser hatte 30 Grad. Gäste waren hauptsächlich Asiaten, Chinesen ,Koreaner, Japaner, Australier und Europäer.

Eines der besten, vielleicht das Beste in Penang
Eines der besten Hotels oder vielleicht das Beste in Penang.Effizientes freundliches Check in im Rasa Wing. Lounge Atmosphäre beim check in mit Welcome Getränk und kaltem feuchtem Tuch. Frühstück sehr gut. Ein Pool nur für Erwachsene über 16 Jahren. Ab 17.30 bis 19.00 Uhr Lounge Zugang mit sehr guten Spirituosen, Wein, Schaumwein und tollem Käse und Häppchen Buffet. Alkoholfreie Getränke, Bier, frische Früchte und kleine Dessert Süssigkeiten. Alles sehr gut und reichlich. Das Personal ist super freundlich und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und schöne Badezimmer. Das Ferringi Grill Restaurant serviert hervorragende Speisen zu angemessenen Preisen. Service war hervorragend mit kleinen gratis extras wie Suppe als Anfang und zwischendurch ein Sorbet und am Schluss noch etwas Schokolade. Kann das Hotel nur empfehlen.

We have booked this property confident in the brand and looking forward to a relaxing and high end stay, but it turns out to be simply abysmal. To begin with, the marketing is completely deceiving and indeed so inaccurate, better described as false advertising. The images portrays a well maintained and new establishment, when in fact is the complete opposite. Tiles missing on pool, carpet stained in lobby entrance, walls in the room ruined/dirty, swimming towels ripped &/or stained, terrace chairs ruined (see pictures) etc. Whilst it is described as “Shangri La Rasa” there are in fact two hotels within the establishment: La Rasa Garden & Wing - be aware guests are treated completely different. If you happen to have booked at the Garden, you are treated like a second class guess. Good luck in having a good night sleep! For some inexplicable reason, there are a couple of (kind of) musicians, singing until past midnight to an empty audience every night. During our stay we complained for the lack of rest and we were told it was an event and they could not do much about it. Completely lied to us, didn’t even apologise or try to mitigate the situation. To make things worse, one night at 1:23 am the telephone rang shortly after having managed to fall asleep, to be asked by reception “have you ordered some tea?”. We brought a complaint forward to the manag,ent explaining all the above and absolutely no attempt were made to apologies for the horrendous stay. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!!

Staff was not very friendly, food was tolerable. Coffee was horrendous, but they did have Kopi in the mornings. The NYE BBQ was not worth the money... the cooks tried to serve raw squid as cooked. it was ridiculous

A relaxing resort with good food, excellent facilities and attentive professional staff, especially in the Ferringhi Grill restaurant. We enjoyed the variety of foods available especially breakfast. The upkeep of the garden and pool areas is to be congratulated and the cleanliness of the accommodation is excellent.

Beautiful property and rooms. Wonderful staff. Unfortunately the beach isn’t great but the pool and gardens made up for this!
