Hotel Gilmanton Ironworks

« We come here specifically for the hot tubs and indoor outdoor pool. Such an amazing experience! Restaurant in Church landing was great. Short rib prepared perfectly! Only bad part is that you have to walk outside to get to the pool/hot tub if you rooms aren't adjacent to that area. Not a big deal tho! »

« The room was noisy due to outside air conditioning units for the building, but hey,,, was the cheapest room. »

« The room was clean and and the staff very helpful. The bathroom was clean and the bathtub was like new. The breakfast was perfect, the eggs were hot, bacon was crispy. There was a good choice of cereals, muffins, juice, etc. We will return. »

« An historic site with a very warm welcome by the owners, Amy and Nick. Fantastic breakfasts and an easy walk to downtown Meredith and the lakefront. A great place to be based to discover the surrounding lake region!!! »

« The Lake Estate was nothing short of amazing. Arron and Arista at the front desk were extremely welcoming, went above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing. Never once did we walk by the lobby without them saying hello or offering anything to make the stay better and taking photos for us. Told us all about the resort. Cannot say enough things about Jackie at the spa. She’s the best! For a private hotel opening so recently of that size… it was well worth it and we will be going back...

« Kitchen was fully functional and convenient. I enjoyed the view from my room. Very few places are in such a beautiful setting. The building is older but the rooms were exceptionally well kept and clean »

« L’accueil est excellente. La chambre est agréable et propre. L’endroit est calme est paisible. Je recommande sans hésiter et nous y retournerons assurément mais plusieurs jours, une seul nuit c’est trop court! Merci et félicitation bel établissement et installations. »

« The staff is friendly and dedicated. The site is great, by the lake and main street so everything is walkable. Décor is dated (French tourists will love the log cabin feel…) but everything is very clean. »

« Nous avons passé une nuit à la Ballard House à Mérédith, lors d'un trip Montréal-Boston, et ce fût une expérience trés agréable! Les propriétaires Bryan et sa femme sont extrèmement accueillants, chaleureux et serviables, les petits déjeunés trés bon et conviviaux! La maison est trés jolie, "dans son style" (traditionnel), la vue et le jardin sont magnifiques, et la chambre impeccable »

« The room was clean and it was the exact room as advertised. The hotel has seen a recent renovation. Lobby has games and hang out area. Kitchen had free coffee and a microwave. The closest resturant is about a 8-10 min drive. »
