« What a lovely art deco maintained hotel! All fitted out in appropriate style. We didn't eat there, but the food smelled terrific when we arrived in the late evening. Very friendly staff and a most comfortable room. Loved the residents' sitting/dining room upstairs. »

« My family and I enjoyed our stay at Emma’s Cottage. The cottage was beautiful and so was the surrounding. There were kangaroos around the property and the location was very central. They were also very accommodating with our early check-in request. Thank you again, Emma’s Cottage! :) »

« The bush room was very comfortable and I'm sorry we weren't able to see it in the daylight as I think the views from the little outside balcony would have been brilliant. (arrived late and off before dawn for the Anzac service). A little care to be taken going down the steps to use the bathroom in the main house, (as I said it was dark) but otherwise all good and suited our needs. Thankyou to Grant for picking us up at the station as the train was very delayed. »

« The studio was even better than pictured and super clean. Parking is easy as each studio gets its own spot or two. The retreat is completely quiet so it’s very serene in the early morning and at night if you fancy stargazing. The breakfast provisions were much appreciated. Highly recommend for solo travellers, couples or groups as there are studios that are clustered together! »

« The positive first: A very nice and helpful lady is the keeper of the place. Unfortunately the negative is heavy. Everything is very old, the room is small, the mattress is terrible, the tiny bathroom is smelly and a major noisy road passes 100 meters away. The breakfast is not on site but in a coffee shop on the other side of the busy road. I booked far ahead of our trip to Australia and paid 260 AUD per night, more than I paid in 4 star hotels in downtown Sydney or Melbourne. This is a...

« Abermain was a fantastic hotel. Great location to be close to the wineries in Pokolbin and Lovedale. Room was clean and it’s situated in a hotel that is 115 years old. We were worried about the shared bathroom but it was totally fine. The bar food looked great, even though we didn’t indulge after a day at the wineries. Would definitely come back to the Abermain. »
