A Wonderful Stay at a Hidden Gem in Gloucester
My family and I had a wonderful few days staying at this Vrbo gem while enjoying a short vacation in the area. Gloucester is an adorable New England town—right on the water and super walkable. There are so many delicious food spots everywhere! Michael & Annie's home is within walking distance to the waterfront and several interesting historic sites, including a really cool old cemetery just up the street. The drive from Boston/Logan Airport took about an hour, which was pretty much what we expected. (Pro tip: keep an eye on traffic around Boston—it's no joke!) We also took a day trip to Salem, about 25 minutes away, and took in the sights, despite some on-and-off drizzle. The house itself is charming, spotless, and stocked with everything our family of three needed for a comfy stay. We loved hanging out in the backyard each evening, made good use of the full-sized washer and dryer, and slept soundly in the cozy beds.Honestly, the best part of our trip was the incredible hospitality of our hosts. Michael was so warm, welcoming, and easy to communicate with before, during, and even after our stay. We were able to check in a bit early—so helpful after an early flight—and check out a couple of hours late, which made things so much easier when heading back home. I really dislike hanging out in airports, so that extra time was much appreciated.Michael & Annie, thank you again for opening up your lovely home to us. We arrive as guests, but knew we were leaving as friends!
