  • Bienvenue aux Palissades. Cette maison spectaculaire se trouve directement sur la plage de la Licorne Cay, une étendue de sable rose s'étendant sur un kilomètre sur le prestigieux Banks Road de Governors Harbour, l'emplacement privilégié d'Eleuthera. Le célèbre restaurant Tippy se trouve à 5 minutes à pied de la plage. La ville de Governors Harbour, avec ses restaurants, ses épiceries, ses magasins et ses banques, se trouve à moins de 5 minutes en voiture. La Licorne Cay est généralement déserte, alors ne soyez pas surpris si vous avez ce mile de sable rose entièrement pour vous.

    Les grandes baies vitrées des Palisades offrent une vue à 50 km à 180 degrés sur l’océan turquoise et le sable rose en contrebas. Ces fenêtres en verre résistant aux ouragans sont conçues pour résister à des vents directs allant jusqu'à 200 mph. Le verre a une teinte spéciale pour aider à garder la maison fraîche. Juste à l'extérieur de ces fenêtres, vous vous trouverez sur un pont en cascade qui s'étend sur trois niveaux et qui s'étend sur une hauteur de 60 pieds sur le sable de la plage de la Licorne Cay.

    Cette maison de luxe dispose de toutes les pierres naturelles, y compris le marbre, le travertin, le granit et les rochers de la rivière.     La grande salle
    Profitez de la grande salle moderne et spacieuse, décorée avec luxe dans un style contemporain. La salle dispose de 26 pieds de plafond cathédrale avec des fenêtres qui mettent en valeur les eaux des Bahamas et un ciel dégagé. Asseyez-vous et regardez vos films préférés en haute définition sur Blu-Ray et DVD. Profitez de la musique et jouez à des jeux vidéo sur Playstation 3.

    La salle à manger
    La salle à manger se compose d'une belle table à manger sculptée à la main pouvant accueillir huit personnes.
    À proximité, des baies vitrées avec des sièges confortables permettent une vue imprenable sur les plages de sable rose.

    La cuisine
    Cette cuisine spacieuse comprend un grand îlot, des comptoirs en granit exotiques et des appareils électroménagers en acier inoxydable ultramodernes. Profitez d'une tasse de café du matin de notre cafetière.

    Le pont
    Un pont à trois niveaux en cascade est l’endroit idéal pour profiter du soleil et admirer le paysage de plage d’en haut. Profitez d'un déjeuner en plein air avec le barbecue en plein air donnant sur la plage.

    La Chambre des maîtres
    Cette chambre a un roi et salle de bain principale. Entrez dans la chambre tropicale et jetez un coup d'œil à la vue imprenable sur la plage, juste à côté de vous. Sortez sur le balcon et profitez du soleil matinal et sentez la brise.

    La salle de bain principale
    Cette salle de bains classique comprend des toilettes, 2 lavabos, une douche en verre de qualité et un grand spa que vous pourrez apprécier. Un grand placard est prévu pour ranger vos affaires.

    Chambre d'invité 1
    Entrez dans une magnifique petite chambre pour deux et détendez-vous. La chambre comprend un lit queen-size, une grande salle de bain complète et un balcon.

    La chambre des enfants
    Cette chambre colorée est spécialement conçue pour que les enfants de tous âges puissent profiter d'un endroit amusant pour se détendre après les heures passées au soleil. La chambre comprend 2 ensembles de lits superposés et un lit gigogne pouvant accueillir au moins 5 personnes (une grande salle de bain complète est partagée avec la chambre d'amis 1).

Life on an island

One of the most relaxing vacations, our family has had in years. A tranquil idyllic setting, crystal clear, blue water, soft sand, a completely private retreat. Everyone left totally relaxed with smiles smile on their faces. We'll definitely return to this paradise….

Loved the house and location. The island has been our favorite so far. We go to a different island every year but found the people of Eleuthera to be very nice and welcoming. Definitely got my steps in this week going up and down steps. Palisades was very comfortable and the view was outstanding. We hated leaving.

Palisades was OK - and no big negatives. For improvement I would note the bed linen is not cotton and I think needs to be washed regularly for longer than 15 mins at a high temperature to eliminate bed bugs. The bedding is a major problem in the rentals market - it really needs to be cotton, cleaned thoroughly and aired. The decking around the house is not in great condition and in places is rotten/ soft. Moreover the sun goes around the back of the house so really the decking g and pool are situated in the wrong position as they do not get all day sun.

Beautiful House!

This is a beautiful house right on the ocean. We walked along the beach every morning, without seeing many people. The view from the house is breathtaking. The house has great bedrooms and bathrooms, with plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Our boys loved the foosball table upstairs. The location is great, within walking distance to Tippys, where we ate almost daily. This was one of our family's favorite vacations.

Perfect

Our group of 6 had an amazing time at the Palisades Beach House. The house was spacious & had everything we needed. Being able to walk down the stairs to the empty beach was great. We frequented Tippy's restaurant, walking there multiple times - very convenient and the food (and drinks) were delicious. The locals were so friendly & inviting. We had a great time! We'd definitely recommend this property and hope to visit again soon!

Beautiful spot, conveniently located

We all had a great time. Last time we came we stay of the bay side. This time we were in the Atlantic side, which was gorgeous! There are several reefs out in front of house and we enjoyed snorkeling them. Big house. Plenty of room for 8 of us.

Perfect location with stunning views

Family met together for a spectacular stay only steps from crystal clear water on an unimaginable pink sandy beach. The view is unmatched. The pool was breathtaking overlooking the turquoise waters. The location was private and five doors town from the popular restaurant and hang out, Tippy’s. The upstairs shower has a problem regulating the temp and due to a holiday, our house manager only checked on us the day before we left. However we managed using the other two showers. Other than that, everything was great! We were blessed to be able to share such an experience!

Beautiful Bahama beach stay

We had a bit of a rocky journey getting there. Unrelated to our stay purely weather related. That said once we arrived, everything was perfect. It was a beautiful beach house right on the ocean. The weather was perfect. We loved Eleuthera and the host was wonderful. They provided a lengthy list of things to do….helping us arrange activities for the kids, as well as helping with rentals and things to do throughout our stay. Thank you so much!

Perfect piece of paradise

House was perfectly located on insanely gorgeous beach with reef nearby. Went snorkeling, used the kayaks a ton, saw sharks (little lemons and a nurse - nothing to worry about, rays and dolphins right in front of the house. Walked to Tippy's every other day for lunch. Relaxed in the infinity pool at the end of each day with perfect view of the beach below. We only explored the island one day (Glass window, Queen's bath and Hatchet bay caves) because we didn't want to leave the property as it had everything we needed to unwind and enjoy the perfection that is Eleuthera. Sherman was awesome and only a phone call away for any help that was needed and the owners were immediately responsive to answer any questions we had.

Relaxing spot, immaculate vibes

Everything was great. The house was as advertised, and fairly well stocked. The cleaning crew was still there when we arrived around checkin time, and was rather unpleasant to me when I asked whether we could come in. The caretaker, Mr. Culmer was there as well, and he said we could just leave our luggage in the garage while we waited for the cleaning crew to finish. We walked to Tippy’s to wait, because that’s what you do on Banks Rd! That was a little hiccup right at the start of the trip, but everything else was just as expected. Very nice house - I can recommend it to anyone.

Paradise in the Bahamas

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location and the home itself are absolutely beautiful. We're so glad that we got to experience the pristine waters and private beach. We explored the island and did a deep sea fishing day and tour day with Exotic Excursions..definetly recommended. We also went to The Saphire hole, and Preachers Cave, both cool experiences. The restaurants and food were amazing. Our only complaints about the home was that the deck is in dire need of repair and unsafe to walk on , from the top level, all the way down to the beach. Additionally, the upstairs shower does not regulate temperature. It's either scalding hot, or freezing cold. Lastly, we found tiny ants in the bathrooms downstairs and upstairs, as well as the kitchen. Overall, our family had a wonderful experience and we're so glad we were able to have the opportunity to stay at the Palisades House.

We travel a lot and always opt for private rentals where we can, and this is one of our favourite homes and locations ever! The moment we walked in, it had the wow factor! The living room was very spacious and so comfy and we spent our evenings relaxing here and watching movies on the huge tv! The kitchen had everything we needed, and we had every breakfast & lunch in during our 10 night stay. There are two supermarkets in town & a good liquor store which we stocked up at. The master bedroom is beautiful with a large bathroom. Upstairs is also a great additional space with its own lounge area, which shows off views of the beach.Being right on the beach was just dreamy, and we pretty much had it to ourselves apart from a few people who we chatted to. There are loads of sun beds and water sports equipment to use at the villa. It was also great to have the pool there too which you can relax around.Tippys was a short walk away and a great place to grab a bite to eat. We also had a car and went to a couple of places in the town as well. Pam was incredibly helpful through the booking process and we wouldn’t hesitate to book via Eleuthera Vacation Rentals in the future. We tend to go to different places but this is one location and home that we will definitely be returning to again in the future. Amazing View, Beach and Home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great 10 days in Eleuthera. Palasaides home is in a great location to explore both ends of the beautiful island. The beach in front of the home is stunning, the water is extremely clear with snorkeling only steps away, and lots of rock formations within walking distance to explore. We loved that we could walk to Tippys in only 5 minutes - and we took advantage of that regularly - or drive to other amazing restaurants in less than 20 min. The house was spacious and the view from both house, deck and pool can't be beat. The only downsides are that the stairs leading down to the beach are not in the best condition. If you have mobility issues or young children, the stairs are dangerous. My husband and I were with our family of 3 children (ages 6, 9, 11) and they were fine, but I was happy my 1 and 3 y.o. nephews didn't stay with us - it would have been too stressful worrying about them or carrying them up and down. One step broke while my 6 y.o. was walking on it - had it been an adult, we may have fallen through instead of it "gently" cracking in half. The pool heater wasn't working while we were there so we only used it twice since temps were in the 70s, but if you're visiting in warmer months, it's perfectly located, sized and refreshing after a busy day of exploring or beach time. This is a gorgeous area of the island and we would stay in this area again. If the stairs and deck are repaired, we would definitely stay in this home again - other houses nearby seemed to have more recently built or repaired steps/decks. These seems to be very weathered and in need of replacement in some areas. Also to note, the beds are very firm! The caretaker was very helpful and communication with him, the owners and rental co. was great.

The beach is also one of the best on the island. We saw a sting ray in the ocean as we were swimming in the pool. The heated pool is a fantastic addition to the house and was used almost every day. Make sure to communicate with Sherman 2 days before arriving to make sure place is cleaned before arrival.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Although there were some glitches (pool could not be heated, dishwasher did not work, ice maker in the fridge did not work, igniter for the grill did not work), the place was clean and had all the amenities. The location is unbeatable, and the owner and property caretaker (Sherman) were very friendly, responsive, and accommodating. (We were refunded for the pool heating expenses without any issue at all.) Highly recommend this place. The billiard room was a hit with all of us - especially our five grandchildren.

Big House on the Beach!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I really don't know where to start. This place is magical, the house, the water, just the whole experience. The house is beautiful, just a short walk to a local restaurant/bar, Tippy's. You walk down the stairs to a beautiful beach, that you will probably have all to yourself. When you get tired of the beach, you head up to the pool with the most spectacular views. I will give you one bit of advice, don't get in a hurry about anything, you are on Island time. This place is so laid back and relaxing, you just have to go with the flow. The boats bring supplies on Tue and Thur, so don't be surprised if they are out of something on Monday. If you're looking for a beautiful house in a relaxing atmosphere, then you can't go wrong with the Palisades.

It easily accommodated the entire group of 8.The views from the pool are amazing. Hard to believe the views could be any better anywhere else on the island. Working with the homeowners was easy as Don was very responsive. Overall an amazing experience.
