The house layout suited our family excellently and was very clean. However, the kitchen was not adequately equipped for cooking. It was missing several necessary cooking utensils and the frying pans need to be replaced. In addition, the stove would only turn on for the large pots/frying pans and not for the smaller ones, which greatly affected our ability to make at least 2 meals. The hot tub was great but the water had somewhat of a foul smell and it needed to be cleaned. I had to contact the host before we checked in to send us the code to get into the house and then again to let us know what we needed to do for check out.

We booked this house for a family vacation with my sisters and their kids/grandkids. This home was perfect! Lots of space for everyone. We loved the open concept kitchen, dining and living area so that everyone could visit while the adults were cooking. The house was clean, inside and out. It was nice having the pool and lake. We all fished and a few took the kayaks (provided at the home) out on the lake. I really can not say enough about how much we all enjoyed our stay. We all agreed this VRBO may become our annual trip as it was perfect for our group! Will be returning soon!!!

We enjoyed our stay more than we could’ve anticipated! The home was lovely. Kids had a blast in the pool, in the game room, and watching movies in the theater. Even the neighbors were great. Kids fished their hearts out. We kayaked and realized we need our own for bayou living! My only suggestions are that the kitchen needs more pots, pans, and basic measuring tools and the bathrooms could use more towels and wash cloths.

Summer Family Trip

His rental was perfect for our family gathering. There were enough bedrooms and bathrooms, the kitchen was larger than it looks on pictures. Theater room and game room were a hit. The pool was wonderful with ample outdoor gathering space. Hosts were wonderful to text, communicate with. A great weekend for our family that came from all over the state.

Peaceful Getaway

My family and I came here to stay for a few days to get away from the busyness of life. My college aged girls were home on spring break and they loved how nice and relaxing this place was directly on the lake. It was crazy windy that stirred up a lot of dust so we didn’t get to sit outside as much as we would have liked. The sunset is absolutely incredible. It’s close to downtown Granbury so that was nice. The house had everything we needed and is huge. We didn’t even use probably have of the house. We watched a movie in the movie room and that was awesome. We also soaked in the hot tub in the evening. The pool was still too cold and same with the lake but it was peaceful to sit by. The host was very responsive. Highly recommend if you are looking for a little getaway.

Nice Location - quiet and scenic

The house was very nice. One first floor bed and bath. Other bedrooms on 2nd floor. Nice private master bed with bath and outdoor seating and stairs down to other seating areas and the ground floor. Two bedrooms have a Jack-n-Jill bathroom. The bunk room is off one upstairs bedroom, so 3 bedrooms share the Jack-n-Jill bath. Our family used the first floor full baths for showers. House was outfitted well with towels and sheets and toilet paper. It has an induction stovetop - read instructions. Overall it was a very pleasant stay for the 11 of us. We did bring a blowup bed for the 15 year old who slept in theater room. The 13 year old used a futon in bedroom upstairs with her parents. It has YouTubeTV streaming. Overall a very good stay. Plan on the extra 10-15 minutes to get to and from house - a winding drive back to the house - making it nice a quiet on an inlet.

Host was very responsive, making booking and questions easy. Excellent location right on the lake, enhancing the vacation feel.Pool and hot tub added to relaxation, but remember to bring your own towels.Large property with plenty of space inside and out; great for groups. Covered parking for several vehicles was a plus.Multiple bathrooms were convenient for a big group.Internet speed was impressive, perfect for streaming or working remotely.Cooking utensils were somewhat limited for a house this size.Bath towels were a bit small for an average adult.Cleanliness was lacking; large cobwebs in the kitchen area and floors didn't seem mopped.For 10 adults and 5 children, only 2 makeup washcloths (no regular washcloths) in each bathroom was insufficient.A few linens and blankets seemed somewhat unfresh.The upstairs game room lighting was too dim for evening ping pong.Planning Factors for future guests:The "5th" bedroom is accessed through another bedroom and only has bunk beds (two twins and one double), not ideal for adults needing privacy.Kayaks provided have a 200 lb weight limit; consider bringing your own if your group includes heavier members.Overall: This lakehouse offers a lot with its location and amenities but falls short on cleanliness and some basic supplies. With some preparation, it can still provide a pleasant stay. We would stay again if we didn't need five true bedrooms and the price was right.

Thanksgiving Get Away

We booked this home specifically for the lake view, hot tub and fire pit. We were here for Thanksgiving and wanted to be sure we had plenty of things to do since not much would be open on a holiday. The house was roomy and clean and the outdoor amenities were great in the chili weather. One thing to note is the “kids bedroom” does not have its own entrance. It is only accessible through another bedroom. The owners were responsive and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

Great House for a Large Group

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is laid out well for a large group. Lots of hang out areas with plenty of seating. The beds were super comfortable. Kitchen worked great for cooking and the pizza oven was a big plus. Caught a big catfish on the lake. The host was responsive and very helpful. We will be back! One of our favorite rentals we’ve had!!

We had a few issues during our stay: 8 women could not operate stove top range (code had expired, too), no wash cloths (we bought our own) & fire alarm did not work. Mail box was overflowing with note saying if not emptied, they would stop delivery (we brought in all mail).

Family getaway

This stay was Amazing. It was my husband and and myself our 6 Grandkids, niece our Adult kids and their other halfs and my sister and brother. The home was so big and beautiful. The lake was beautiful fishing at night. I would love to stay here in the future again. The host was there if you needed him just a phone call away. Thank you for making our trip a special one.

A VRBO Winner

During the last 20 years, we have stayed in many homes with VRBO. Some were good, some weren’t. This rental was fantastic. Not only did the pictures truly depict what was there, but the attention to detail was phenomenal. It felt like a real home, not something just slapped together quickly and cheaply to make money. Baskets of pool towels, hooks for towels & clothes, tables and lamps beside the beds. Details that matter and make your stay more enjoyable. Plenty of seating for everyone. There is an array of areas for everyone to spread out and enjoy. The media room was a huge hit. Jeff was attentive and quickly responded to any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again.
