„We had an amazing week hiking in Acadia, enjoying Bar Harbor, and on the water. The house is on the outskirts of Bar Harbor and we enjoyed the quiet location. We walked into town a few times but mostly drove since there is no sidewalk and it requires walking on the side of the road, but it was easy to get in and out. The house is dog friendly with a small yard. Overall, this was great and we would stay here again if we return to Bar Harbor!“

„Location of the house is great! Everything in bar harbor is walkable and it’s a quick drive to Acadia. The house is well stocked. My only small criticism is that some of the appliances and the mattress seem pretty outdated, so I say 4.75/5. I loved all the bird themed decor :)Thanks for a great stay!“

„The apartment is very clean, well-equipped and has enough space to feel comfortable. Only problem: it is quite noisy. The road next to the property is very busy, cars and trucks pass almost permanently by from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. The provided earplugs are a nice gesture and very necessary. The house is not very sound-proof, every step of the people upstairs can/must always be heard.“

We liked being together wish we could have spent more time together but kids have jobs and pets to get back to. „The Gate House was great. Three full bedrooms and baths were more than adequate for our family. The property was clean and the well stocked with everything we needed. When we needed some addition bath items the staff were very responsive and accommodating.You are a 5 minute walk to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia is right around the corner.Having parking available is priceless.I would highly recommend the Gate House “
