« Photos don't do this place justice. I had a very comfortable stay in their cosy studio. Very clean. High quality bedding. Plenty channels on the smart tv. Fast reliable wifi and good cooking facilities. »

« Helpful staff. Sorted out parking. Table broken in room. Shower no pressure, dribbled out. Room fan very poor, very little air coming out even at high speed. Complimentary bodywash and shampoo so small not worth open the packed. »

« Great stay amazing staff helpful »

« From the outside the property had old style appeal and parking which was a positive however when taken to our room this was at the back of the property and you had to pass washing hanging online, a laundry shed and general toot and tat. The entrance to the stairway to the room went past the back of the kitchen where the door was permanently open so you heard all the usual professional kitchen noises.. The stairway to the room smelt of cooking fat and there were dead flowers on the window with...

« Rooms are on 2 different levels so very quiet. We stayed in room 2 which was lovely, with tea & coffee etc and very welcome biscuits. No need to bring shower products as they are all provided. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of items (ordered the night before). The fruit salad was fab & I can highly recommend the omelette! My husband had the full English, which he really enjoyed. Offered more tea/coffee & toast. The hosts Jane & Mark were lovely and very helpful regarding the local area...

« Great service very helpful would recommend this to you would be happy to stay again thank you. »

« L'hébergement ressemblait à celui d'une auberge de jeunesse. Il n'y avait pas de salle de bain dans la chambre, ce à quoi nous ne nous attendions pas. Les photos sur hotels.com étaient trompeuses. Par ailleurs, le restaurant situé en dessous était excellent, bien qu'un peu cher. Nous n'y retournerions pas en raison de l'absence de salle de bain privée. »

« Old fashioned property with heaps of charm. Big room and easy check in »

« Everything was so fantastic, the staff were very helpful, the food was amazing. Excellent place. We will definitely be back. »

« Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast, we had a great choice of breakfasts, the full English was a bit too big for me, I couldn't finish it, I should have gone for the small English. Plenty of parking. I would recommend booking a table for dinner as soon as possible, this venue is very popular with the locals. We would definitely stay at the Recruiting Sergeant again. »

« Lovely friendly staff, always remembering that I stayed before. We get the room we have requested. We order a vegetarian roast which is outstanding, food delicious and hot. Plenty of parking. Depending where the room is you can hear the traffic going past in the evening & mornings but overall alovely stay. That's why we keep going back and also you have a choice of breakfast part of the deal. »

« Everything was spot on. Thank you »
