A peaceful place with lovely souls. The design of the hotel is beautiful and very comfortable but it is the amazing stuff who make this place to a really special one. It was just perfect with a little kid to stay there. They have a lot of toys to use and abig heart for childs. Thank you theodore team for these wonderful days

This is a jewel of a hotel. Not only is it exquisitely beautiful, the customer service is top notch, comparable to the best hotels in the world. Breakfast - and all of the “snacks” on the menu which are perfect for lunch or a light dinner - is excellent. Recommend highly.

Our time at The Theodore was wonderful. I proposed to my partner on this trip so I wanted it to be special and The Theodore ensured this was the case. They delivered one of the most unique and personalised stays we've ever had. Their attention to detail was phenomenal. I must commend George for his excellent management. George and the staff should be very proud of the high-quality service they have delivered. A particular mention must go to the front-of-house staff, especially Maria and Alexia. They were both so warm, genuine and keen to assist. For example, for restaurant, cab or day trip bookings, they were impressively efficient at organising these. Other things to comment on include the stunning view of the Cretan Sea which was on your downstep and the supreme breakfast that was offered. Thank you very much also for the welcome platter and the engagement gift also. We absolutely hope to come back again sometime.

Everything is perfect. Meal, service, kindness, beach, and so on. Recommendations about reports was very good. But the taxi that the hotel called was too bad. The driver could't speak English and fee was too high.

Just perfect.
This has been exactly what we have been looking for. An absolute gem and the perfect place to just relax and unwind. From food to room to hangout area, staff and beach - everything is thought through with an incredible attention to detail. We usually do not repeat any places, as we are always looking for new discoveries. For this one, we may make an exception next year!

The Theodore was the perfect place to start our trip to Greece, almost too good as we have compared every other place to it! It was beautiful, it felt peaceful and private even among the stretch of restaurants and other hotels. The staff were amazing, George and his team were so attentive and helpful with restaurant suggestions and even choosing beaches that would be protected when the winds hit. I would recommend it to anyone travelling to Chania.

Lovely property right on the beach, the General Manager was amazing and has hand picked a wonderful staff. The Chef was so talented, he packed us a lunch for our hike down the Gorge. The concierge was so helpful with dinner recommendations, as well as organizing excursions etc... This boutique hotel is a gem, I highly recommend staying here.

Luxury beach boutique hotel in Chania
The Theodore is a small boutique beach hotel just outside Chania. It is flanked on each side by restaurants with excellent food (not related to hotel). At the hotel there is a chef very interested in making his food both interesting and excellent. All the staff is wonderful and helpful. all accommodations first class and very clean. Every guest we met there was of one mind--this place is a deal.

We loved our stay at the Theodore. Everything was wonderful - we appreciated the kind and helpful staff, the welcome and honeymoon treats, the private beach chairs, the calm and gorgeous design. the breakfasts were so so so amazing! The room was wonderfully spacious and comfortable. Our only complaint was that our room (the only one) had its door right near the kitchen door and front door so it was a little noisy hearing door slams in the morning. That didn’t really affect our 5 stars stay though! Thank you Theodore!

Perfect stay at The Theodore
We spent a week at the Theodore and it was an absolute pleasure: wonderful hospitality, glorious breakfasts and the room was extremely comfortable. We spent most days out and about, but the one day we spent local to the hotel was spent gazing at the beautiful seaview and enjoying the sun. Not least, this is in a great location, near Chania. We would most certainly consider coming back.

Best vacation in years
We had the best possible experience at the Theodore. Top location, right on the beach, you have a private area just for the hotel guests to spend as much of the day as you want right on the sand. Breakfast was outstanding, and so much of it! We didn't eat again until dinner every day. Countless little touches that make a big difference. We were really sad to have to leave and look forward to our next visit.

Excellent relaxing experience
We had a joyous stay at the Theodore. This hotel is truly about creating a relaxing and mindful experience for its guests. The best service of our whole trip. Alexia helped us out so much with directions, tips, restaurant and bar recommendations, looking into excursions, etc. All these lovely little touches are everywhere in the hotel. You can feel the attention to detail and customer service. The head chef Petros is just a joy and talent. Everyday breakfast was made to order with special treats and surprises throughout. The most healthy and yummy breakfasts we have had anywhere in Greece! There's a little private beach area and ocean views. I love the Korres bath products and the awesome soak tub with books to read. It made us fall in love with Crete. The immediate surrounding is not that touristy, but it's very close to Chania town (LOVELY) and Gramvousa/Balos. I wish we had stayed there longer. I would love to come back again.
