« Room was well kept. The location was perfect for our trip. The lake was nice to sit and have a cup of coffee in the mornings. Whenever I had a question, the host responded quickly. The pool and pool area was nice, although we did not use it. There was a problem with the air conditioning one evening, but the host was able to repair it the next morning. It may need some additional maintenance. The kitchenette has no stove, but there was a toaster, toaster oven, electric skillet, electric stove top...

« My brother and our wife's stayed at Dave and Emily's Runaway Cottage for the better part of the week. We really enjoyed everything about this place. It was close to the beach. We also got to enjoy the hot tub in the fire pit we tried to grab as much into the week as we could. And The Runaway Cottage was awesome. We're already playing in a return trip. Thanks Dave and Emily making it easy. »

« Air conditioning was window units, we had to move a fan to be cool enough to sleep. Bed near the restroom was very uncomfortable. No extra pillows. Restroom was very small. Electrical plugs sparse. Had to plug a light into the wall in the din for the light to work. Would not ever stay there again. »

« Terrible checkout. Due to miscommunication we were called liars by owner and treated with terrible customer service. We apologized SEVERAL times for mix up. We were then charged an extra $200 for an hour and half late check out. Book at your own risk !! »

The hosts were very, very, very helpful. The best people I’ve ever met rent out a place. The location is pristine. The fishing is world class this place is heaven since I’ll be back for the rest of my life every year. « We loved the location! Just a short walk across the street to the beach! Close the the Cortez bridge and marina for easy dining and getting off the Island easily! Very clean and outfitted with all we needed! Having beach chairs in good condition was a real plus! The courtyard is so well kept and we used the grill and ate outside! We had a great stay!!!!! »
