The staff there was absolutely amazing and nice, I can not stress that enough. The breakfast, even though simple, was very delicious and had enough variety, especially the jam and fresh bread were great. Location is fine, a little out of the way, a car is kinda necessary. Our room was nice and clean, the view was great, however, for tall people absolutely inconvenient. I cannot count how often we hit our heads at the doorframe to the tiny bathroom, as well as literally touching the ceiling with our heads while taking a shower. The bed was technically comfortable but the two mattresses kept sliding apart during the night and it’s too short for tall people. The biggest issue for us was the common balcony right in front of our window. While it’s nice to have a common balcony for everyone, it’s horrible if you’re trying to sleep and there are 4 or more people right in front of your window laughing and drinking. That said, definitely go check out the little bakery across the street, the baked goods were phenomenal. The hotel gives you a guest card, which gives you free transport with the bus, but check the timetable ahead since the last bus back goes pretty early.

Ein schöner, gepflegter und sauberer Gasthof. Das Personal ist super hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich. Ideal auch für Gäste mit Glutenallergie. Das Frühstück war vielfältig und sehr lecker. Die Lage ist traumhaft mit einem wunderschönen Blick auf die Berge und lädt zum Verweilen ein.

We absolutely loved this quant and beautiful property, nestled at the top of the town with beautiful view and church bells ringing. The Inn keepers were incredibly sweet and hospitable. There is a beautiful breakfast with delicious, fresh offerings and delicious coffee. We dined at the restaurant for dinner, which was delicious. I would highly recommend this gem.

The staff were kind and polite, and the rooms and balconies were clean. The weather was nice, so the view from the room was amazing. I also liked the cheese and ham at breakfast. If I come to Switzerland again, I'd definitely like to stay here again.

A delightful respite away from the crowds
Our time spent here was amazing! The owners/innkeepter went above and beyond to make our stay special. The restaurant on the street level provided a wonderful meal and company after a long day of exploration. I cannot recommend this inn in Habkern enough. It truly is a treasure!!

This is a clean an beautiful hotel a little out of the bustle of Interlaken with gorgeous views of the area. It was easy to get to by bus from the main train station. The family owned staff were very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again if ever in the area.

Such a cute place to stay in a beautiful small town. Location is great- scenic yet accessible. I am very glad I stayed here instead of in Interlaken. The bus comes hourly to take you to and from the city when you want, and there is a little grocery store across the street, which is convenient. (Note: The last bus to Habkern is at about 7:00pm. This didn't bother me, though, I came to Switzerland for the mountains, not the nightlife!) The room was small and simple, but it was clean and had a full bathroom and a hairdryer. I had a beautiful view of the mountains from my window and access to the lovely porch. Breakfast is free, which is rare for most hotels. It was very good- hard and soft boiled eggs, a variety of breads and pastries, and of course, a spread of meats and cheeses and coffees. My bed was a little slanted and dated, but otherwise everything was perfect. Great value for the money in very expensive Switzerland. Would definitely stay again!

Service was very good and felt at home during our week stay. All staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean. The last bus back to the gasthof baren is 7:04pm which was a little early however we made it work. Overall, great moneys worth, very easy to transport and visit all the other beautiful areas in the interlaken region.

there is a bus that takes you and up and down from interlaken to habkern and it’s free when you check into the hotel! the only issue was the last bus back was at about 19:01 and the taxis are expensive. the floors on the second floor are a bit creaky and the bathroom is shared, but other than that, the view is breathtaking, the staff is absolutely amazing and the food is good. everyone spoke english and the room was comfortable. super satisfied overall!

산위 해발 1km 지점에있습니다. 여기에서 쭉 길을타고올라가면 스위스어디에서도볼수없던 엄청난 뷰가 나옵니다. 그리고 시설이 새거라 엄청 깨끗합니다. 그런데 커피포트등은 없습니다. 주인부부가 스위스 모델같아서 비현실적입니다. 물어보면 공짜로도 캠핑 바베큐를 즐길수있는 로컬 포인트를 소개해줍니다. 근데 스위스에서 많이먹는 고기사가세요. 스위스 삼겹살은 맛이없어요

We loved our time at Gastof Baren! The rooms were spacious, modern, and very comfortable. The village of Habkern is quiet, quaint and lovely. The views were stunning. The breakfasts were delightful. Carina was a gracious and friendly hostess. Habkern off the beaten path, but convenient both to drive and to take the bus. We highly recommend it!
