A good, quite luxury hotel with a great vue at Lake Ashi. Clean rooms, nice natural bath, several restaurants with japanese or french cuisine. Food is pretty expensive, but of a very high quality (nevertheless quite small portions). There are cheaper alternative restaurants in the hotel area (10min by walking). Good hotel service, very friendly staff.
Please notice that the hotel is quiet isolated. There is one bus line connecting the hotel with other points of the area, but the busses don't run all the time - if not, the hotel management will arrange a taxi.
As usual in quiet, natural tourist places in Japan, the daily life ends quite early. Dinner is at about 6pm.
A nice hotel for guests looking for spending some calm days at the beautiful Hakone Region, however nothing for backpackers who wish having fun and action in holidays.
