Amazing Property, Great Service

David's property is very beuatiful and well kept. My wife and I stayed on our honeymoon and it was all we hoped it would be. Aside from the property, David was very helfpul with details about things to do and places to visit. We would love to come back for another stay!

All About Location!

If you want privacy and a beach that feels like you’ve got it all to yourself, this is the place! Gorgeous views from the balcony. David was a great and very accommodating host. He was extremely easy to communicate with and had plenty of travel tips for us upon arrival. My wife and I loved our stay and did not want to leave. We hope to visit again soon and would come back to this place in a heartbeat. Loved it!

Private Beach House Vacation

David was a fantastic host. He thought of every little detail. Great communication, fully stocked accommodations, plus all the little extras that made our stay that much more special! To wake up every morning with my cup of coffee in hand , watching whales breach and sea turtles heads bob just off shore, kept a smile on my face all day long.

Amazing Property! First time to Hawaii

Wow! Wow! Wow! That about sums it up. This place is phenomenal. This was our first visit to Hawaii and I’m already dreaming about going back. The location was exactly what we were looking for, a quiet part of the island with amazing views, easy access to the beach, and great amenities. Our host David made our stay extra special by providing us with a welcome gift & complimentary essentials and drink of choice as well as taking the time to meet us and give us a run down of the property. He gave amazing recommendations from food to activities which we did many of. The property itself was very comfortable and well stocked with everything you would need. We had zero issues during our stay and felt extremely pampered throughout. I HIGHLY recommend this property and we will definitely book again!

North Shore Winter Get-Away

We very much enjoyed our stay - everything was as expected and more. Property is right on the beach - walk out back gate and you're on the sand. The lanai is wonderful - we'd sit out daily and have coffee/drinks and watch the surfers, hump back whales, sunset... David was a fantastic host - the best we've had with VRBO. So much less frenzied than Honolulu. Would highly recommend.

wonderful property and location

amazing view of the ocean on the second floor, quiet (except for the crashing waves of the north shore) and central to everything we wanted to do during our week-long anniversary celebration - Haleiwa is only minutes away, the best açaí bowl on the island 4 miles away (sunset), the best doughnuts also 4 miles away (ted's bakery), waimea bay in walking distance...it was perfect!

Best Vacation Ever!

This was one of the best vacations my husband and I have experienced. The home was immaculate and nicely stocked with items like eggs, jam, honey, fruit, coffee and snacks (just to name a few). These were all things that I would typically have to shop for once finally settled in but not in this case as there were sooo many essentials that my normal trip to the grocer was greatly delayed! David was such a great host! He provided us with a wealth of info one of which was visiting the Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC). We went there and learned a lot about the history of the island natives and enjoyed a full day of activities and performances that were planned. The luau at the PCC was also fantastic! My only regret was getting full too soon thus not being able to enjoy more of the amazing island food. Back at the home, we spent a lot of time on the lanai which was nicely accommodated and a wonderful extension to an already warm and inviting space. Most mornings and evenings were spent there enjoying the sounds of the ocean and watching the surfers catch their waves. I even challenged my husband to refrain from watching tv (a favorite past-time) while there which he passed with flying colors! The entire experience was was truly like heaven on earth. The north shore location is great and convenient to both shopping and restaurants. Waikiki though technically only 26 minutes away, took us about 45min to an hour to get to due to traffic but was well worth the time traveled. I would definitely recommend this spot if your looking for a chill, quiet and calm vacation experience. If it weren't for it being our first time visiting Hawaii and wanting to take it all in, we would've easily just stayed in and enjoyed the space b/c it was truly PARADISE ON EARTH!! MAHALO DAVID :)

Vacation in Oahu

Our stay in Hawaii was relaxing, energizing, and filled with many happy memories. The property was above par to say the least. The bungalow was clean and comfortable. The view from the deck was a phenomenal. David is an amazing host. Our flight was delayed so we were a few hours later than originally planned. David gave us clear directions to the bungalow and made sure to meet us out front so we did not drive by the property. He gave us a thorough tour of the property and its amenities. David made sure we were aware of the local attractions and sent us links with detailed information. We were so happy with our stay and hope to make it back sometime in the near future.

Our own little place in paradise!

This was my fourth trip to the island, but my first time staying on the north shore and after this experience, I will never stay in Waikiki again. Everything from the location, to the weather, the laid back lifestyle of the locals, to our host, David, was absolute perfection. The beach was nearly private. We sat on the lanai every morning drinking our coffee and watching the surfers. We were able to see sea turtles swimming in the waves every day and there were even two days where a sea turtle came up on shore right on the beach in front of our house! We cooked in our full kitchen, we ate in the restaurants in Haleiwa, we even hit the food trucks a couple of times. We loved everything so much, we extended our stay. We drove all over the island exploring in the ten days we were there, all the while returning to our quiet little piece of paradise which was this home. Mahalo, David! We will be back. Heather

Slice of Paradise.

Fantastic place with basically your own private beach. We had a wonderful stay, enjoying all the amenities of this great place. David the host was awesome. His local knowledge as well as recommendations were spot on and extremely helpful. Words can't describe how beautiful this place is and the location is perfect for the full North Shore experience. I'm very selective about saying "best". However— BEST. PLACE. EVER!!!

David is such a wonderful, welcoming, and patient host! We arrived much later than intended due to underestimating Oahu rush-hour traffic, but David was very understanding and gave very clear directions to make our VERY scenic journey as smooth as possible. We even saw a double rainbow on the way! He also gave great recommendations on places/events/hikes to check out, which we ended up checking out several (my favorite was the Farmer's Market recommendations. I always prefer supporting local businesses' products and the market was a cute place to find exactly that.) The place itself was exactly what we were looking for— a convenient location where we're in between everything we'd ever need as far as food and adventures go, and being literally beachfront made our mornings, days, and nights extremely comforting. The bed was very comfortable, the decor was beautiful, and the lanai overlooking the beach gave us pure happiness. The place is nicely equipped to the point of us not needing to go to the store to stock up on anything. I really appreciated the snacks, the homemade banana bread, and the complimentary wine! Also, we are huge coffee drinkers, so we were impressed that there was actually enough in stock for us for our whole trip. We took this trip after almost 5 years of not being able to take trips due to a lupus flare-up and some seizures attacks that I had recently, plus the pandemic, so staying at such a relaxing place with a cool host was exactly what we were looking for, plus more. I am most definitely aiming to stay here again when we're back on Oahu and looking to stay on the North Shore, where things are much more comfortable and away from the craze of the city. Don't get me wrong, Waikiki is absolutely beautiful, but when it comes to wanting to stay around a more chill spot of the island, and especially at a place where you get all that you'll need for your vacation, this place is the way to go. MUCH MAHALO DAVID!!!

The Hale Grandiflora was amazing.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. David is the best host I can imagine. He helped us find a wedding officiant and photographer for our wedding and we had the ceremony on the beach in front of the property. David was very helpful with suggestions for local eating and activities. The place was immaculate and stocked with lots of helpful things like coffee, eggs, etc. and had lots of beach items readily available to use. The location on the. North shore was perfect. It was quiet but close enough to town to get food or groceries. The bottom unit was rented out at the same time but we rarely saw them and it didn’t interfere with our privacy. We will definitely stay here again.

Best place ever!

The owner David is over the top across the board from communications to services. The place is meticulously prepared. The views, access to the beach, and closeness to the township of Haleiwa could not be any better than one could dream. This place is by far the best place in Hawaii I have ever stayed in the last thirty years of coming out here!!! I could not offer a higher a recommendation.

A picturesque getaway!

Hale Grandiflora was just as advertised. The perfect size, layout and accommodation for two of us and perfect setup whatever the weather (we had lots of rain for a few days but could still enjoy the ocean from the comfy lanai). The kitchen has everything you could need and more, and so many extras were provided by our host. Not to mention all the beach essentials (towels, watercraft, bikes, etc.). Washer and dryer were an extra special amenity. The traffic is tough in winter/holiday so just plan your outings accordingly. David was an accessible, accommodating host ready to ensure we had a perfect stay, and we did!

Absolutely Spectacular☺️

My spouse and I had the most wonderful time at David’s property. Everything, and I do mean everything, was perfect. David was communicative from start to finish and such a well-prepared and gracious host. The details that David put into his property and guest stays is the best I’ve ever experienced. The property itself comes with everything you need to enjoy the beach - towels, chairs, all sorts of water toys, bikes, etc. The inside is perfect for two people and thoughtfully designed to maximize the comforts of home and the wonderful exposure to nature. We spent many mornings having breakfast on our outdoor deck turned living room, overlooking the ocean and the beach, enjoying the breeze on our faces and the sun at our backs. Outside of David’s wonderful hospitality and beautiful property, is the most gorgeous stretch of beach. Not only is it beautiful, it’s also low traffic. We maybe saw a dozen people per day and folks were mostly taking a stroll or heading out into the water to catch a wave. The location is great as well because you’re close to Haleiwa but not too close. Suffice it to say, we’d be honored to stay here again. Mahalo! Jessie

Big slice of honeymoon heaven

We waited so long to go on our honeymoon and we couldn’t have picked a better spot! David was an incredible host, we wanted for nothing. He was so knowledgeable and gave us awesome recommendations all over Oahu, but the north shore is where you want to be. David deserves higher than a 5*

We haven’t even checked out yet and we don’t want to leave! :-). We still have 3 more days in Hawaii in another location and we wish we were staying here. His place is impeccable for a VRBO. Being a landlord myself, I see the smaller details some may not. His customer service is amazing and highly communicative! We were greeted with fresh fruit, snacks and a bottle of wine. The location is perfectly situated away from people and yet perfect distance to take walks in either direction to more populated areas. Our upstairs balcony was as much of a sanctuary as sitting at the waters edge. We were unclear of the cooking options when we booked, it’s perfect! Hubby and I cooked up surf and turf full meals. He has all the cookware and basic spices you can think of already there. He has condiments to get you started along with coffee, creamer, etc…. Local restaurants were great just a short drive away. We asked for recommendations for my bday dinner, and we booked David’s favorite place. It was divine! He made us amazing banana bread and local mochi (sp?) and left it for us during our stay. If it sounds like I’m raving…I am! As for activities, he has everything you need to snorkel, surf, boogie board, play games, etc. We’ve already sent the link to quite a few friends looking to book. We went to a different island a few years ago and were so unimpressed with Hawaii. We now know what Hawaii paradise is supposed to be like. Thank you again David for making my 50th bday stay wonderful. We will be back!

Paradise in Paradise

What a gem! We had our own personal view of sand, swimming turtles, and gorgeous sunsets! The unit itself was well appointed with everything we needed, and then some. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, utensils, pots, pans, etc. It also has a convection/microwave oven and an induction cooktop. The bathroom had full bottles of hand and shower soap, lotions, shampoo, and conditioner - all of lovely quality. There is a washer and dryer, gym equipment, and access to all sorts of beach toys. The bed was sooooo comfortable! David was the most amazing host. His great communication with us started well before our stay. He gave us all the details we needed to know for our visit and then offered up his expertise of what to do and where to eat while we were there. When we arrived, we found there were treats waiting for us: fresh fruit, homemade banana bread, wine, eggs, coffee, Nespresso pods, and basic condiments. This gave us time to rest and relax before running over to the market to stock up on food for the week. David lives on the property and was always nearby if we needed him. We were out one night when we got a text that the power was out in the area. By the time we got back, there were flashlights waiting for us and some small candles on the porch. So considerate. We loved our stay and would not hesitate to recommend Hale Grandiflora to all of our family and friends. Thank you, David!

Best rental on the island

This property goes above and beyond everything you need to enjoy your stay. David has thought of every last detail to make his property the most enjoyable for his guests. David is absolutely WONDERFUL and generous. He does everything to make your stay top notch and is always there to answer any questions you have. Is it more expensive than other some other properties? Yes, but trust me, WELL WORTH EVERY PENNY! I have stayed at a lot of rentals in Hawaii and I will never stay anywhere else now. Perfect North Shore destination

We had an amazing time staying in David’s guest house! He literally has every amenity you could want, and is available for anything else! And the place is located perfectly on a beautiful beach, I enjoyed every morning on the lanai and walks on the beach, perfect vacation!
