« The abode is located in the basement of a very nice home in a quiet neighborhood. It has a private entrance, very spacious living room and a small kitchenette. There was plenty of towels provided as well as an ironing board/iton, broom and vacuum. Since it is in the lower level of a home, you do have the noise of people above you but it was very quiet at night and in the early morning.It snowed while we were visiting and the host was so kind he cleared our walkway too. We would definitely stay...

« Fantastic property! Decor is simple and takes you back to 1983, but super clean and amazingly well stocked with everything you might need. Host even has snacks and drinks available! She also has jams, soaps, and honey for purchase. The dogs (Mastiffs) are super sweet and friendly. I didn't pay attention and didn't realize there is no wi-fi or TV, but it wasn't an issue for us- but just an fyi. We are parents of a JMU student so we'll be in the area in the future- we'll definitely book The Wash...

« Our family was in town for a wedding and chose this home because the hosts allowed bigger dogs and the property had a fenced yard. We were impressed with how well they have kept up this old farmhouse. The bedrooms and closets were spacious, and the beds were comfortable. »

« The house was spectacular. Beautifully renovated and rich in history in a perfect location. Spent two nights while visiting JMU for family weekend. It was perfect and we hope to return soon. »

« We had a nice stay at this home, it suited our group well. The layout is good for multiple sets of couples and I liked the access to resort amenities and access to restaurants and local activities. The house is located on a side road in the resort so low traffic and quiet area, good for a relaxing time. »

« The house was great for my family get together, 3 adults and 5 kids ages 4-8. Kids loved the game room and outdoor space. Kitchen was well equipped and lots of storage space for our supplies. Plenty of bathrooms and beds for our partcular needs. Great location that is convenient to many activities. »

« The Nut House was a nice place to go for a weekend in Massanutten. Hot tub was lovely and they had lots of different games. Very close to a ridge trail for some hiking. »

« Beautiful property and views. Stayed overnight with my Shepherd as we traveled back home on a long trip. Great open property to walk with my dog. Large basement rental with large kitchen, living room, and bedrooms. Plenty of TVs too! Being a basement rental, I could hear the family walking around upstairs so keep that in mind if it bothers you. Private gated entrance, nice patio, and private entrance to basement. Was able to see an amazing sunset over the valley and nearby mountains and then...
