WLAN-Zugangscode musste erst erfragt werden Beim "Kinderbett" haben die Bettfedern derart durch die Matratze gedrückt, dass ein Schlafen nicht möglich war.

Mehr Schatten als Licht!
Man bekommt, was man bezahlt und selbstverständlich ist mir klar, dass bei einem Hotel am unteren Ende der Preisskala keine zu hohen Erwartungen bestehen sollten. Aber: Auch bei einfachen Hotels erwartet man Sauberkeit und aufmerksames Personal, daran fehlt es allerdings. Inakzeptabel waren auch die Frühstückszeiten, Mo-Fr. 08:00 bis 09:00 Uhr und Sa/So 08:30 bis 09:30. Also eine Stunde. Geht leider gar nicht. Pluspunkte: Schöne Umgebung in malerischem Dorf und viele Parkplätze direkt am Hotel. Im Ergebnis aber definitiv keine Empfehlung, würde ich nicht wieder besuchen.

It was in an ideal Place for where we were visiting. Staff couldn’t do enough for us. Lovely old inn good food However the bedrooms were very basic and lacking in facilities like table or chairs poor decor no toiletries or glasses. Needs a refurbishment in the bedrooms and landing. Margaret sugden

Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although a bit shabby. The pub was great and breakfast was excellent. We didn't eat dinner there but the reports on the pub's food were very good.

A really good stay !!
I had a very relaxing night at the Bent Arms, the room was neat and tidy and the bed very comfortable. I had a very nice steak & ale home made pie and mash in the pub, which was full of people eating and a couple of furrsty ferret, it’s a Halls & Woodhouse pub. I had an early start the following morning ( 4am), to catch a flight and had a packed breakfast to go, which was very good and quite large. All in all, it was a really good find.

The Bent Arms Lindfield
The room was clean and functional, although a bit tired. The bed is comfortable with clean linen. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food very good with a decent sized portion. Really enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding.! A good selection of beers that are well kept. Looking forward to our next stay.

Just the job
The Bent Arms was an ideal hotel for a reunion of three university friends. It is not luxury accommodation but does not pretend to be. Its clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good and the set course evening meal tasty, satisfying and exceptional value. There is plenty going on in Lindfield and the surrounding are for a long weekend.

The staff were very friendly, and the village was lovely- close to 3 National Trust properties, which was our reason for going. The room was roadside. The road was very busy and that made the room noisy. The website states cooked or continental breakfast. There was not a continental breakfast, and even cereal was not readily offered as an alternative.

Good stay
My stay was good. All things were comfortable. The only thing that could have been better was the shower head kept falling down & wouldn't hold up properly. The room was comfortable, with enough room. The decorations was basic, but for the price the room was fine.

A room so bad it was almost funny.
The staff were lovely, and the food was fine. But the room was terrible. Tatty and dirty. The loo didn’t flush properly and the bed was really cheap. The corridors on the upper floors were full of old furniture, laundry bags and dirty dishes. As an added bonus, the room had a psychotic television- which turned itself on at 2am, and cycled through all the channels at full volume. (It did this twice!) We left early, and no one asked why- which doesn’t surprise me.

Nice Pub - Grim Accommodation
Whilst the pub and staff are lovely the accommodation is pretty dreadful. There is no air con and no fan. The window does not stay up easily and is dirty and rotting. The beds and pillows are too soft meaning on hot nights it is so uncomfortable. The bed is also too short (I am 6 foot) meaning you cannot stretch out easily without bashing the iron bed end. The shower curtain had mould growing on the inside (room 9). The corridor to the rooms on arrival was full of half empty pints of drink. Also laundry bags lay around in the corridor. The Wi-Fi does not work in the bedrooms. Overall it’s clear the owners do not think about the customers experience when staying as it shows very little investment in the rooms as they could be straight out of the 1980’s. It’s sad especially as the pub and staff are nice. Invest in the rooms and charge more would be my recommendation.

2023 Overnight stay
Room was very dated and got filled with cooking smells from the pub kitchens. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. Also the bathroom only had a net curtain which hides nothing when the lights are on. However the staff were very good and accommodating.

I was very anxious about staying at this property after reading reviews and looking at current photographs of property online. When i arrived there was free parking behind the property, check in was quick and easy. As property is old has history the stairs up to my room were very narrow and steep but lady who checked me in asked if i needed help with carrying suitcase up the stairs, my daughter helped carry back up. The initial corridor to bedroom is dated but clean. My room was family room has double and single bed all very clean and newly decorated (Current pics online are old) the room is room but two windows you can leave open which we did i also took a fan. There was plenty of tea, coffee, milk. Fresh towels and shampoo. Conditioner, soap available. The single bed was lovely and comfortable Double bed was terrible best way i can describe like sleeping on a hard trampoline. We booked b&b as close to Southground on return parking us an issue when pub is busy but B&b are trying to sort this out currently. There is parking in local roads. Breakfast was included and was served by a very nice waiter who want out off his way to see we had what we wanted, extea toast, lovely fresh coffee, fresh orange juice, cereal etc on check out staff asked if i would be coming back i can say i will but double bed needs sorting out.

No fan in the room to get the air moving on such a hot night. Wall paper peeling off by radiator. In parts a general tidy up would be in order. NOW the good bits, staff very friendly, Food very Good, Service prompt. In general it had a very good atmosphere, old world feel to it and character which made the place a pleasure to stay in. The pub is lovely, the accommodation was a let down , it was absolutely boiling hot , there was no fan in the room and none were available , I couldn’t get hardly any water out of the cold tap , so very difficult to fill kettle or clean teeth , on first glance pub looked lovely but accommodation really was not up to scratch and I couldn’t sleep .

We enjoyed our stay at the Bent Arms. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable but the room was very tired and due a refurb. However staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good, we didn’t get a chance to eat there as visiting family etc but food looked good when passing. Despite the room we would happily stay again and the fact our room was serviced daily was appreciated, not always done these days! So well done, it was good value and great location.

Friendly staff / dated & tired hotel.
Staff were all very friendly. However our only engagement with them was at breakfast and it was disappointing to only hear on our third and final day what the breakfast menu was. To that point we hadn't been offered cereal, juice etc - only cooked breakfast which was excellent. Hotel desperately needs money spending on it with carpets worn through and bathrooms very dated. It's fine if you're just staying overnight / only need to bed, but not suitable if you plan spending longer periods in the room.

It is a lovely looking property and the bar/dining area authentic but the rooms really need updating. Wood chip wallpaper torn carpets. The rooms were clean and bedding fine. Food and staff really good no problems there. Very nice village.
