« We were thrilled to be on the Thunder Bay river. My family likes to fish off the dock. It is shallow at this point and peacful. We were able to use one kayak. The second kayak was too filled with rain.water and too heavy for us to turn over and drain it. The deck is a lovely place to sit or eat and watch the river, except that the seat cushions were soaked with rain water also. I suggest a deck storage box to store the seat cushions when not in use. this will keep them dry and ready for use....

« Beautiful, quiet, peaceful. Close enough to Alpena that you can experience some of what a city has to offer, far enough away that you have peace and quiet. The kayaks got put to use on the river and everything that we could need had been thought of. Plenty of dishes to use. Plenty of chairs to sit by the fire. Plenty of firewood to burn. Check-in was stress-free. We met the host for a quick tour and they were available via text if we had any need. Cell reception in the area was spotty,...

« Our stay at the Charming Lake Front Cabin was outstanding. It was the best view we have ever had in our 40 years coming to Hubbard Lake! The water is crystal clear. The stairs into the water off of the dock were amazing, my 80 year old mother was able to get into the water and swim! The kitchen was well stocked with supplies, the beds were comfortable. « This property suited our family perfectly. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of extra blankets, the bathrooms were well stocked. They even provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The kitchen is also well stocked. One of the best things is that this is a property where people are free and welcome to leave behind extra paper products, or spices, that kind of thing. there are plenty of televisions for gaming and movies and regular television. « We enjoyed our stay. It was well equipped with all the necessities. The house has a lot of comfortable seating for larger families. We loved the front porch, it also has a lot of comfortably seating. The location is great, just a few blocks from the park, marina and Lake Huron. Many stores and restaurants are also in walking distance. We brought our bikes and enjoyed riding ariund town and along the shoreline. We would definitely rent again! »
