This cottage is simple, easy and unfussy. The ground floor has a shower room and an open-plan living space, where you’ll find a kitchen, diner and lounge all in one, shadowed by exposed beams. It’s a friendly and social area where you can cook, eat and relax, perhaps enjoy a film or play some card games. Head upstairs to find the bedrooms. There’s a comfortable double, then two single rooms, perfect for older children who prefer privacy and quiet after an adventurous day. Everything is peaceful and you’ll be sure to get a good night’s sleep. This property gives you access to a shared garden with BBQs and picnic tables for outdoor dinners, and 13 acres of woodland and lakes to explore with the dogs.


There are plenty of nearby attractions to suit all interests. Water sports enthusiasts should take a trip to Tamar Lakes Activity Centre (10 miles) for fishing, paddleboarding, canoeing and kayaking. Equipment can be hired if necessary. Continue to Bude (14 miles) for surfing, sandcastles and swimming in the sea, plus a bustling seaside town with spots to shop and eat. Equestrians are welcome at La Rocco Riding School (8.5 miles), or for wild ponies, try Meeth Quarry Nature Reserve (11.5 miles). Meeth also has 150 hectares of beautiful landscape, full of butterflies, birds and lakes.
