« This is my second time staying at the Birdnest. It is a wonderful, peaceful retreat on the river. Everything is as described, very clean, lots of thoughtful touches, and great communication from the owner. I loved that dogs are welcome. The yard is secure with enough space to chase a ball and run around for your pups. there was a very thoughtful welcome. Basket was not only goodies for me but a small toy for my dog. « Stayed 3 nights at this wonderful cabin! Everything was just as listed. AC was nice and cold; everything we could possibly need was there for us! There was even an air fryer, crock pot and griddle! Extra towels were provided as well as beach towels. The kayaks were a great addition, as were the passes to get on the river. That saved a lot of time in the morning when we wanted to get out before the masses of people! The only thing we didn’t know about was how to get the kayaks back to KP hole if...

« A wonderful experience in this amazing home! Located right on the Weeki Wachee River we paddled next to the manatees and river otters. Enjoying our steaks cooked on the outdoor grill, we heard a splash and saw a mermaid swimming by! It was definitely a magical place! We’ll definitely return. Hopefully soon. »

« The entry to the subdivision was absolutely breathtaking. At night, there were lights placed in the landscaping to make it feel very fairytale-like. The golf courses looked beautiful, however they were doing some work on the two full courses and it wasn't worth the cost to play 9 holes on one course and switch to 9 on another course. Although entirely satisfactory, this is an old house and has some quirks, such as a toilet sticking out of a closet in one bedroom and a very spongy floor in some places. « This place was great, close to everything and still a 5 minute kayak from a beautiful river. The place looks better inside than outside, and was well furnished and clean. The coolest thing was the Blackstone grill. I do wish the creek in the back had a nice clean bottom, instead of the mucky murky one, but the water was clean at least. We never did see any manatees, because apparently the usually come up river in the winter time. »
