Summary:
Game night has a new home at The Chalet on Cape Catherine, a private peninsula on Lake Catherine shared only with guests of our four lakeside stays. Spend the day on the water from the covered boat slip and swim docks, with kayaks and paddleboards to share. Then head to the converted-garage game room, where 18-foot ceilings, an 85-inch TV, a full-size shuffleboard table, a dart board, and a bar with lake views keep the evening going. Outside, there's horseshoes and cornhole. This one-floor, three-bedroom, 2.5-bath house sleeps up to six, and your dog is welcome too ($75 per pet). Garvan Woodland Gardens is about 11 minutes away.

Much love, respect, and work has gone into creating The Chalet at Cape Catherine to be appreciated by family gatherings and groups wanting to bond and enjoy Lake Catherine for its beauty, adventure and peacefulness in a clean, well-cared for home. Outdoor security cameras with views of the entrances and exits have been installed. They are only monitored if neighbors inform us of excessive noise (past quiet hours) or parties occurring. We value and respect the privacy of our guests.

Guest Access:
Cape Catherine is a private peninsula on Lake Catherine. The peninsula is home to 3 houses; The Big House, The Chalet and The Cottage, as well as one RV - the Bluebird of Happiness. You will be sharing the peninsula with guests in the other two houses and RV. However, you will be the only one to have access to The Chalet. The Chalet is not shared with anyone.

The Neighborhood:
Cape Catherine is a private peninsula with 3 houses and one RV (The Bluebird of Happuiness) on it. It has a two stall boat dock, two swim dock and one pier. There are Kayaks, and a paddle board for use by the guests on Cape Catherine. No one is allowed on the peninsula unless they are renting one of the houses or the RV

Other Things to Note:
Important: Important: Before you arrive, I'll send a link by email or text for a quick guest verification through my property management software. It helps me keep up with short-term rental regulations and gives guests and homes a little extra protection. If you finish it before you arrive, check-in is quick and easy. Maximum Occupancy is 6.

Guests must be 25 or older to book. This home is not set up for parties. My neighbors live here year-round, so I ask everyone to keep noise down after quiet hours and to respect their right to quiet enjoyment.

The lake, dock, kayaks, and paddleboards are yours to enjoy. Please use them and swim at your own risk, since I cannot be responsible for injuries.

Entergy lowers the lake each winter for shoreline maintenance and lake health. From mid-November to mid-March, there is no water on the west side of the peninsula and shallow water on the east side.

Interaction with Guests:
Once you're booked, I'm a call or text away if you have any questions. I also have a handyman on call if something comes up that I cannot resolve by phone or text.
