The house was easy to get to, in the middle of Decatur. The management company forwards the code for the front and back door the day before your arrival. We didn't arrive until late and had problems with the code, the management team answered the phone and walked us through entry without issue. The house that looks beautiful in the pictures was a bit beat up in real life. The path from the driveway to the front door is a hazard, it's a sand base with paving stones spaced about 2.5' apart, just enough for an adult man to feel choppy walking on them and to far apart for the kids. We all tripped over them and ended up walking through the yard anyways. The front door had just been repaired with wood filler and needed paint, the dart board was gone and the wall was in the midst of being repaired as well, the pool table has a rip in it and all of the cues are missing tips. The TV in both rooms are child locked making them hard to watch and the dens remote has seen it's better days. The living room and kitchen furniture is showing some wear, the couch had a hole in the cushions, and the bottom of one of the kitchen chairs is busted and lost it's spring. Finally bring a pillow, because although there are 14 on the master bed the 2 that weren't decorative were about 2" thick.
This could be a really good property, overall it's spacious on the inside, has a big fenced back yard, large bedrooms, and there were games (pool, darts, and ring toss, ring toss being the only one functioning at 100%) for the kids to play with. There have been updates done but they are middling at best and the property is definitely showing that it has been rented on the short term market.
