Verb - poor execution and online hacking/safety and security violations. Complete failure.

Process was normal up until the arrival at property. Upon arriving at property, my party experienced another group (3 x females) already inside the property. Lots of confusion that required me to get in contact with property manager and have him physically go to the property and sort things out. Once property manager arrived, he was able to see the (3xfemales) booking information was incorrect. My wife and daughter were the actual owners for the night, but were willing to share the space for the displaced other party. The double booking is one issue, and I understand the fraudulent actors, conducting bookings of sites, but what bothers me the most is that the fraudulent group had working access codes to the building and room. So really, if a double booking occurred, the scammers had all the access necessary to enter the building and room. This is a complete breach of the contract and safety and security of my family. I was given codes for access the day of and this second group (3xfemales) also had codes that worked throughout the building and apartment specifically. This made for a very uncomfortable situation and wasn't something that I ever would have expected from Vrbo. For the amount of money spent I am not happy with any aspect of the overall experience. The room was the room, no issues with that, but to have the security and safety breach was incredibly unacceptable. I would like for Vrbo and the property to explain to me, how somebody can scam the booking.
