Good: The location was great. The beds per price was unbeatable, and there was plenty of parking on the street. The renter communicated the access mode well before we got there and came over to say hey when we arrived. Overall a great place to have for yourself.
The Bad: The property had a smell like someone who quit smoking ten years ago. My grandma smoked and quit about ten years ago, so I smelled it right away but quickly got over it, my fiancé kept noticing it more throughout the night, but no one in her family smokes so she kept mentioning it when we would walk around and “kick it up”. Overall it felt like there was a really good attempt to clean it, but you just can’t scrub that out. It was very clean other than that. 3stars.
Second, I don’t think there was a thermostat? The building was very warm. By 11, when we went to sleep, it was very hot in our room. it was snowing outside so we just opened a window. the two thermometers said 65 in the living room & 68 in the bedroom when we woke up, so it was pleasant! But in the fifteen minutes when we closed the windows before we left the thermometers hit 75. This is where communication gets 3 stars.
Locals also told us to lock our car when they heard where we were staying. It seemed safe, But 4 stars because of speculation cause I’m paranoid.
If the property can allow the tenants to control the temperature and if you can stand the smell, then the price, proximity, and multiple beds make it more than worth it.
