„A really charming and quirky house, perched on an overlook above a bend in the James river. Very friendly host, nice grounds, and plenty to explore in the surroundings. We did some outdoor grilling and a fire in the pit on a very starry night. The kids were disappointed that the hottub wasn't working that weekend, but there were plenty of games and some swings nearby to keep them occupied.“

„It was quiet, serene, scenery was beautiful. Those four days were not enough. We especially enjoyed the screen in porch. We would consider renting the cottage again, it is a gem, tucked in the forest.“

„We enjoyed our stay. Very clean and very quiet! No blinds in the bathrooms but I understand that is being addressed. Host was accommodating and communicated well. My only critique is that grass needs to be cut at the landing where land meets the stream for easier access to water. Overall, very good property! Would stay again.“

„Such a lovely and cozy house. We were in town to visit our college student and this housed all of us perfectly! The kitchen is fully stocked making meal preparation easy. With 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, there was room for everybody. The beds were all comfortable and the reclining sofas & chair were relaxing after a day of hiking! Plenty of good movies on hand (or bring your own) plus enough channels available if you’re in the mood for some tv watching! Board games & cards are also on hand. ...

„Such a nice property! We especially loved the outdoor spaces - deck, fire pit area, and the bench beside the creek. Quiet and peaceful! Very close to the trailhead for the A.T., which we loved. Go north to climb Three Ridges or south to climb The Priest. The bed was super-comfy too! Great place to unwind.“
