Great family house

We had a great time- the listing was accurate, beds were comfortable and location was perfect. The kitchen was light on some cookware and utensils, good to know if you are planning to do a lot of cooking. There was also a pac n play and high chair in the master bedroom closet; when I emailed to ask they said there wasn’t one there, but then when I called they confirmed there was. Would definitely stay again, it made our time in the park easy and comfortable!! .

Very spacious home for a family get together. The kitchen was definitely the hub of activity, and is expansive enough for several “ cooks in the kitchen.” A few more items, including a frying pan and a 9x12 baking pan, were needed, but plenty of dishes. Fire pit was beautiful, as were the views from every room!!!

Another Fantastic Stay!

This is my second booking at this property. I loved it so much the last year I had to come back. It felt like coming home. The property is spacious, warm and welcoming, and flooded with natural light. Just far enough off the main road into the park to give a beautiful private space but close enough to Joshua Tree City and Twently Nine Palms to enjoy a lovely dining experience at the many restaurants and cafes.That being said the kitchen is well fitted with everything needed if you don't go out.

Great setting

Really nice place. This was our second time at the house and it was as nice as we remember. We really enjoyed the setting, as the house is nestled in nature, and we watched the desert from the back porch as we barbecued and had drinks. The house was very clean and we had everything we needed. I recommend it.

Great location

Great location on the road to Joshua Tree NP. We enjoyed the house but had a hectic last morning when the electricity was turned off at 5am for the scheduled replacement of the electricity pole. The electric company says the owners were notified multiple times; the owners say they didn’t know. There was also a smoke alarm with a low battery that beeped after the electricity went out with no step stool or ladder high enough to let us reach it to unplug it. The result was a rough end to our vacation as we packed up in the dark to go find coffee and breakfast.

Casa Tortuga was everything we wanted. Wonderful location, clean, comfortable, spacious, and fun! I wished we'd had more time to hang out there! Check-in / check-out was easy and seamless for us and the information sent digitally was everything we needed!

Amazing!

This home was perfect for our family of 6! (2 adults, 4 kids ranging in age from 4-8). The bedrooms were great and larger than expected, the kitchen was well stocked, and we enjoyed the back yard hot tub, fire pit and rocks! Check out process was super easy! Minutes from Joshua Tree NP west entrance was awesome. Highly recommend. Would love to come back!

Gorgeous house, great location

Our family of six stayed at Casa Tortuga as a home base for exploring Joshua Tree National Park and the Coachella Valley. The house is so beautiful - great desert vibes! We loved stargazing and watching the meteor shower from the hot tub. The kids loved the games room. We also appreciate the responsive and friendly management. perfect stay

the check in and getting into the house was very easy! the house was beautiful inside and out. pretty far from other houses around which was exactly what i was looking for! jacuzzi felt great especially after a long day. bed rooms are very nice especially the beautiful master bedroom and the beds are extremely comfortable. the garage was great too as the game room and great fire pit in the back yard! 10/10 i would recommend!

Beautiful setting - great house

We had 6 adults and enjoyed our April stay. The home and desert view were beautiful! The owner’s suite (& closet) is HUGE, which worked for us since the regular bedrooms went to our adult ‘kids.’ They liked the game room too! The owner’s vanity is open to the bedroom - not an issue for us, but might not be great if one person was up super early or late. Loved the hot tub, grill and proximity to Joshua Tree NP! Get up to watch the sun rise! Would definitely stay again.

Ideal desert getaway

Fantastic house in tranquil desert setting with great access to the Park. The house is spotless, comfortable and has a great game room to keep the kids occupied. Perfectly situated between "town" and park. Make sure to walk or jog along the horse trail right down the road-an unexpected bonus!

This was a lovely home in a nice neighborhood. The property is has beautiful views and is very close to the park entrance. The property was clean and well kept. I agree with other reviews about the lack of cooking utensils but otherwise, an excellent stay.

Close to the Park!

The house was amazing - better than it looks in the pictures on VRBO. It is close to the towns and 10 minutes from the park. The weather was rough so we happily spent a lot of time here. Highly recommend Casa Tortuga.

Comfortable, well appointed, spacious. We enjoyed by the fireplace and the hot tub. Good hikes nearby in Desert View Conservation area, as well as Joshua Tree Park. Try to arrive before dark, as addresses are hard to see at night.

Does cloud 9 exist?

At this place, I think it does. The host thought of absolutely every single thing that you would need for a weekend of isolation and relaxation. My group of friends loved every single thing this home had to offer. Full kitchen with many types of appliances. All the living room furniture was so comfortable and the backyard was the perfect to stargaze and enjoy the jacuzzi. I'm returning as soon as I get some free time again.
