A striking modern home at the edge of the Pacific, The Big House at Land's End sits in the heart of Jordan River — Vancouver Island's legendary surf hamlet — surrounded by second-growth rainforest with a creek running through the back of the property. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a loft home theatre, a Marantz sound system, and a kitchen stocked for a proper stay. This is a place to arrive with your board, your hiking boots, and nothing else.

The Big House at Land's End is a thoughtfully designed home built for people who want to be genuinely immersed in one of BC's most spectacular coastal environments — not just passing through it. The Juan de Fuca Marine Trail is steps away. The Jordan River surf break is a short drive with your board, or accessible on foot via China Beach Provincial Park. Sandcut Beach and its dramatic oceanside waterfall, China Beach Provincial Park, and the fishing lodges of Port Renfrew are all within easy reach.

The main floor is anchored by a soaring wood stove and a Marantz stereo system — stream music via AirPlay, Spotify Connect, or Bluetooth and fill the room with sound. Radiant in-floor heating keeps the main floor warm underfoot; forced air handles the upper level, and both zones cool in summer. The kitchen is stocked the way a good kitchen should be: whole bean coffee, a Baratza grinder, a Moccamaster, quality knives, spices, oils, and a Vitamix blender. Everything you need to cook properly after a long day outdoors.

The library is one of the home's best rooms — a deep sectional sofa, walls of books, a curated CD collection, and a Roku TV in guest mode for streaming your own accounts. Above the principal bedroom, a loft houses a private home theatre: a projector, pull-down screen, and Apple TV. Stream via AirPlay by selecting "Home Theatre" from your device, or log into your own apps directly. It's a steep ladder — best for adults and supervised older children, and worth every step.

Outside, a propane fire bowl anchors the main seating area, a wood-burning fire pit is available for adults when conditions permit, and a stocked BBQ sits ready on the back patio. The property is dog-friendly — beach towels and dog towels are provided, and the back entrance is set up specifically for wet gear, muddy boots, and paw-wiping after beach and trail days.

Starlink satellite internet keeps you connected when you want to be. Cold Shoulder Café is a 45-minute walk along the beach or 3 minutes by car. Shirley Delicious is 15 minutes down the road for lunch. Port Renfrew — world-class chinook salmon and halibut fishing — is 30 minutes away.

**Guest Access**
Guests have exclusive use of The Big House and its adjacent outdoor areas. Entry is through the back door via smart lock — your PIN will be sent before arrival. The property shares the Land's End grounds with The Small House next door, which operates as a separate short-term rental. Your hosts may be on-site and will always respect your privacy.

**Things to Note**
· Dog-friendly — beach towels and dog towels provided; please use the back entrance for dogs and wet gear
· Cell service in Jordan River is very limited — Starlink WiFi is your primary connection
· Power outages can occur in winter and may last up to 2–3 days; the home is equipped with candles, a wood stove, and a propane BBQ for exactly this
· The loft theatre ladder is steep — recommended for adults and supervised older children
· Please respect local fire ban regulations before using the outdoor fire pit
· Cold Shoulder Café, the Juan de Fuca trailheads, and China Beach are all a short drive away
