My family of 4 and I had a great time at the Honua Kai resort. Our particular unit was very spacious and had a huge wrap-around deck with a nice view of the mountain and grassy areas. The kitchen is small but is well-stocked as we cooked quite a bit. Honua Kai facilities are very nice with multiple pools and hot tubs and convenient access to the beach and food truck park as well. The Duke’s restaurant is nice but a bit pricey and mediocre food. You pay for the view and convenience but staff is great. I would recommend Honua Kai for families wanting to get a great Maui experience. We also recommend the Luau at the Sheraton (5 min drive). That was awesome. Oh and our host, was extremely responsive and helpfu.

Family vacation perfection

This property offered the perfect space for our family, with young adults! Plenty of space for them, the wrap around lanai - so perfect. I unfortunately had to work for a few mornings while here - but was able to do so without disrupting the rest of our group. Heaven on earth - hate to leave so soon! Great location, very comfortable- beautiful decor.

Great location, great host, excellent stay!

Communication with the host was superb, the room is a two minute walk from the beach and pools, it was very quiet, there was a large koi pond/waterfall just outside the back patio/lanai, and there was a large grass field for the kids to play in right outside the door downstairs that we could see from the patio. This is a great place to stay, I’m very glad we chose this one.

Great location

The place is beautiful and it was plenty big for the family of five. The only drawback - we were told that there would be supplies and if we ran out, we should buy the rest. That seemed fair but for a family of five, the amount of shampoo that was left was enough for one person. Outside of that, it was great and we would rent it again! The balcony was enormous and worked well for our family!

Heaven on Earth!

Our family of four had an amazing time at Honua Kai! The condo was perfect for us and was equipped with everything we needed. We loved lounging on the spacious lanai in the mornings and evenings. The unit was immaculate and boasted quality linens. The owners and property manager were attentive and responsive to our needs. Although, the feel was different than our previous visit due to the unfortunate circumstances of Lahaina, we are glad that we made the decision to keep our reservation. We made memories as a family and our hearts were touched by the locals and the hospitality that was exhibited. We will be looking to occupy this unit again for future vacations as it was perfection.

The room was very spacious and comfortable with nice decor. It was many times nicer than the pictures. But unfortunately during our stay there was a fire in Lahaina. It was very sad and painful. We were very anxious but the owner, Amlr, helped us. He was really kind and sincere. We are really grateful to him. The tragedy in Lahaina is really sad. It must be very sad for those who lost their precious family members. But I hope one day Lahaina will recover. I hope to come back to wonderful Maui again someday.

Great unit and great location!

Our unit was spacious, clean and a great view of the mountains. The outdoor patio was amazing! To our surprised, it wrapped around the corner. The unit was supplied with all the basics and the overall property was beautiful....well kept and clean. We loved the various options of pools and easy access to the beach. The walking path was also a plus to visit other restaurants or simply go for a walk/run. The fitness center is on the smaller side and would get busy in the mornings, but overall it did the job. The onsite contact checked in with us at the beginning and during the week which is nice. The host also ensured we had everything we needed throughout the week. The only (minor) negative is the unit coffee machine was not working properly so we had to get our morning joe from the first floor market. Overall.....What a great experience!!

Beautiful Property and outdoor Space

We loved the area we were in, the private beach access was so nice and just a short walk from the Condo. The fact the Condo had all kinds of beach supplies for us to use was a great bonus. Communication was easy and friendly. We really enjoyed the huge Lanai and sat out there everyday enjoying the sunshine and view. Would recommend this place and would love to go again. We talked to the owner and they recommended things to do and places to eat and we loved all the things they recommended. Thanks for an amazing stay in a beautiful location.

Best ever!!

We feel so blessed to have gotten to stay in this beautiful condo for 10 days! We didn't want to leave! Everything about it was perfect! Even better than the pictures! The communication with the owners and property manager were above and beyond! We hope we can visit again!
