Fabulous place

We had a wonderful stay. It’s great for kids or without. We had a toddler who loved it and it was set up great for her. The ground level was for sure worth it! Only complaint is the dryer doesn’t dry very well so you have to layout your clothes to dry which isn’t too big of deal since it’s so warm.

Beautiful getaway

The accommodations were nearly perfect for what we wanted. Lots to do right here at Honua Kai and the beach, and boardwalk were beautiful to walk. We saw turtles and spotted sting ray the first day and loved every minute. The only downfall was the shower head was very aggressive and quite painful, with no adjustments! The water was sometimes warmer for the first shower and lukewarm if you were lucky after that…and we shower fast! It was nice that they had coffee and salt and pepper. One suggestion would be to have oil as well. Interesting placement of cutlery and plates but that’s just a reflection!

Great condo in West Maui

This condo was a great place for our family of four. The kids loved the pools. We would definitely return and stay here again. The first floor condo was perfect for our young kids and could go outside without worrying about a balcony. There's a parking garage underneath the Konea tower so was convenient to get in & out of. The kitchen has limited stock and just enough servingware for 4 people. The cooler bag and beach toys were perfect for our beach day trips. The beaches are a little rocky right out front but theres great snorkeling nearby Black rock. Kaanapali has most of the action for our visit including luau's and boat charters (we caught the Hula Girl and boarded from the beach 2 miles south of the condo).

Amazing stay

We had a fantastic stay here. The condo itself was very clean and well furnished. The kitchen is well stocked. The bed was super comfortable. As for the grounds themselves, we couldn’t have been happier. Loved the waterside and all of the pools. You cannot beat the proximity to the beach! We are already planning to stay here again next year.

Relax & Step into Vacation Mode

This property was perfect for our family of 4! Ground level provided easy access to the beach and pools. They even had beach toys & chairs! The kitchen had everything we needed including a high chair and booster seat for our 3 & 1 year old. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was huge. Unfortunately, it rained most of our stay and a cat kept begging to get into the condo, so we couldn’t leave the porch door open. Other than that, only positive things to say about this property. They made it easy to relax and make memories with our family.

Relaxing Getaway

We had a great time at Honua Kai. Our ground-floor room with a garden seating area was excellent for kicking back and relaxing after a long day of swimming or exploring. There are lots of dining options in the area and the resort is just a short drive away from a grocery store. The grounds are beautiful and there are many pools and hot tubs and it's just a short walk to the beach. Would definitely stay here again.

Great condo. The placement is at northfacing site of the second Building which gave much privacy feeling with view of small garden and ‘fairway’; which was nice. Due to the trees there is nicely shadow in the condo itself (protected from strong hawaiian Sun) while if you sit in the garden you can sunbathe. The condo is roomy and nicely decorated. The picture of seeing Ocean, that is however only seen if you walk from front garden out to the ‘fairway’ (Walk area to the resort). There is no Ocean view from condo area. Just for your awareness. It did not matter to us, as really only the Condos close to pool have true Ocean view; at with that also comes being close to pool area and public. We really enjoyed the privacy with this place! A very minor note: I think the dishwasher needs a bit TLC , as it does not always washs disses clean leaves few grains/spots some times… Besides that all worked really well: klima AC was really good (quite💫), a comfy fold out sofa bed, great condo kitchen with amenities (++ large toaster also for bagels), coffee machine, Beach toys incl boogie boards!

Wonderful family getaway

My husband and 2 year old daughter stayed at this condo for our first big vacation since Covid. It was the perfect place for our little family. We loved the location, it being on the first floor with a little one. The condo was nice and clean (minus a little sand which is probably hard to completely clean up) and we even got the check in a little early which was much appreciated after a long day of travel. We really enjoyed the amenities of the property. Our daughter did not want to do anything but spend time at the pools and beach all day! Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Maui Vacation

BLUF: The VRBO rental was GREAT, and the Maui Westside manager of the residence was very accommodating. Good Review to Share: 1.) The place was great. Clean, updated and full of space for my wife and two kids. The bed was comfortable and so was the pull-out couch (although the most comfortable pull-out, still very much a couch bed). 2.) Upon arrival two things fell short - The requested pack-n-play and the amount of blankets for the family. Our point of contact was SUPER responsive and quick to resolve. She had both issues fixed by the time we needed them - Great customer service. 3.) The ground floor unit opened to a outside table and a grass backyard, which we had all our meals at. Loved the view and ability to walk around outside. Expert Tips: 1.) There are two towers. Google Dukes. That will send you to the right one. 2.) Checking-In occurs with valet attendants at the front. They provide your wrist bands and parking garage pass. 3.) With a full size kitchen, you are going to need groceries. Safeway proved to be king in that area. Grab yourself some marinated meat to grill down by the pools (the grills are propane and are free). Nothing beats grilling while watching the sunset. 4.) Bring spices from home. Although we had a kitchen, most the food we cooked didn’t end up having any salt or pepper, etc. on it. I missed my Tabasco Sriracha the most. 5.) Towels - A hot commodity. Grab pool towels at night for the next day. During the peak hours of the day, it was common that the towel dispensers were empty. 6.) The pools didn’t have any hours, which isn’t the case at all hotel pools. This made the evening time especially fun with my 4 year old who is obsessed with swimming. Having said that, they do have one really fun slide, which does close at 5pm - Don’t miss it. 7.) The complex, and this unit, is very close to the food truck park. This is what it sounds like - an area with 8-10 different food trucks. Plan an evening to walk down and grab dinner. Last note - Just cause we our a little bitter still - Stay away from Hertz, Thrifty, or Dollar Car Rental. Their team was very unprofessional when it came to a maintenance issue with one of their vehicles. My family and I were forced to drive back to the OGG airport to get a new vehicle, wasting 1.5 hours of the day in the process. With a 72 hour trip, wasting 1.5 hours, mid-day, can feel a little extra bothersome.

Great family spot

This was our first time to Hawaii so we had no idea what to expect. Traveled with my husband and kids ages 11 and 8. The resort - great location in Maui, PERFECT for those traveling with kids, loved the water slide, loved the restaurant, wonderful snorkeling right in front of the resort (swam with lots of sea turtles), I recommend bringing snorkel gear or purchasing it from the resort store b/c it's pricey if you want to snorkel every day, can see whales from the beach, it is rocky so it's best to enter the water in between Honua Kai and the Westin where it's less rocky. The only CON I have of the resort is the parking. Several times we had trouble finding a spot and had to park really far. Unit - though we didn't have much of a view we loved the first floor access, the unit was clean and the perfect size for our family of four, it was great that they provided beach toys and two beach chairs. CONS - the kitchen could have been a little more stocked... more dishes, missing basic items like a pizza cutter and flipper/spatula thingy, wish the condo provided a beach umbrella as several other condos do, had a maintenance issue with the bathtub that took two days to fix but it wasn't a huge deal. Overall we were very pleased with our stay!

Exceeded Expectations. Best location ever.

There are so many things that are great about this unit. First, the location. Can't beat this location. Close to everything. In the heart of best parts of Maui. In my opinion, the best part of the beach. Second of all, the pools - there is a lazy river, caves, slides, infinity pool and 5 hot tubs. Was expecting just one pool - was so floored, it was a whole pool complex! Thirdly, I think the fact that the unit was on ground level is a new level of convenience. We walked in and out to the pools and the beach, didn't have to pack our bags, get a mask, to go from wet to a cold building into an elevator before we can unpack our wet stuff. It was almost like having your own beach house - just walk in and walk out. Everything was comfortable inside the unit, everything was clean and everything worked. My family and I had a blast. Will definitely come again.

We enjoyed the condo and property. Condo had everything we needed and was perfect for 3 people. The lanai area was great for hosting some family staying in another condo - we could fully open the doors and have a great indoor/outdoor experience. A little paradise

This property was lovely. It was clean and came w all the kitchen essentials needed for a family. It is nice being on the first floor- as Covid guidelines only permit one family per elevator ride- which made for long lines. I loved the ease of wrist bands to unlock/ lock door or go through parking garage. We have two five year olds- who fit nicely on the pull out couch. The side door from the bedroom was perfect for early morning quiet time or drinks after kids went to bed. The property management company was great to work with- will likely book w them directly next time.
