"Fawlty Towers" - AVOID
We turned up after eventually finding the hotel down a mile long dirt to what appeared to be an abandoned building. The phone number not working added to the concern. Two kids were playing in the restaurant area which sparked a flurry of activity. Various progressively higher levels of manager turned up. It was obvious they were not expecting us so I had to make an international call to Expedia. I expressed my concerns even at that point as the place needed a good makeover and the staff all ended up around a dvd player watching Univeral Soldier! The staff were seemingly all family or close friends, nobody wore uniform. The kids then ran upstairs with air fresheners. I followed them shortly afterwards to find then cleaning the toilet, spraying the room and even re-wrapping the soap. The room looks great in their pictures but that photo may have been taken years ago. The sheets were stained. We had little choice to stay as per then conversation with Expedia as there was nowhere else in the area they could confirm at such short notice. They even tiried to serve tap water at dinner! The iicing on the cake was being offered lunch for "no charge" even though on BB basis as there was a delay only to be asked to pay USD16 on checking out. The place has potential but I wouldn't be complaining if I had paid Under a tenner But over a hundred is a complete joke, as is the 3 star rating.
