« Very nice...room was great. The only thing was the AC d I did not seem to get as cold as the temp i put it on and the hallway carpets were tereibly stained. It just looked awful. But other than that, it was great. »

« I gave The Courtland an "excellent" rating not because it is excellent in the same way I would rate a 5-star Hilton in downtown Portland, for instance. This is an historic building, in an historic part of Ft. Scott. It is run by ordinary folks and everything in that neighborhood is, well, historic (or old). So, it doesn't have glitz but it does have charm and it is peaceful. I would stay there again if I ever return to Ft. Scott. The owners are wonderful people. »

« Just what we expected when we arrived. Location was perfect to be close enough to things for convenience but far enough away for privacy and quiet. It is an adorable area in the evening with lights and fire pit. Will definitely stay again! »

« Property was comfortable and had everything that was needed to make our stay enjoyable. Would recommend bringing your own small compact freezer if fishing for more than three days so that you can process your catch and get it home in great condition. Parking with a boat trailer was a bit tricky, but manageable. Would recommend that they put a circle drive in that goes behind the lodge, in order to help with the boat trailer parking. Accommodations over all were quite nice. »
