Hôtel près de Vieux temple de Kathaluwa, Koggala, Koggala

« This place is a dream, the domain is so beautiful and well maintained. Room was super nice and well designed. The infinity pool is absolutely magical. Only a couple of things to note, it’s quite remote so tuktuk fees are to be expected (don’t book via hotel to avoid paying double) and restaurant serves expensive fusion food only. »

« Simply wonderful and chilled out boutique hotel! Ideally located for excellent beaches and coastal towns, but tucked away in the rice paddies and jungle. Excellent »

« Sri Lankan Villa was one of the best places we stayed in Sri Lanka, and the cleanest. Everything in the villa had been thought through, and our stay was so comfortable and easy. Lovely balcony too for relaxing. The location was perfect - close to Koggala lake, the beach, our favourite little Café Wave (try the hot lava cake), the railway line, and even the little road the villa was on was quiet and good for an evening wander. Highly recommended. »

« Staff was wonderful, highly recommend. Rooms were cleaned daily, the rooms were functional, the property it self is a bit old, but still very beautiful. Private secluded beaches, you just cant beat the views and how private it is. I initially only had the reservation for 3 days, but extended it to a week. Highly recommend! »

« The hotel is certainly not up to the standard of a 5 star as well as the price they charge. Our room was supper dirty and we had to ask for a change. The next room was acceptable but still very dirty. The rooms look run down and not well maintained. We did the Tepaniaki experience and were charge 130 € which is a LOT in Sri Lanka and it was no where near a real Tepaniaky experience. I recommend you avoid it! Do not take a Tintin from any of the staff they are in on it with the one parked across...

« Amazing hotel. Great staff, very boutique feeling with amazing decoration (balinese style). We stayed with our 3 children (9,7,2) in a family room, room 206, and the hotel felt perfect for kids. The pool has a shallow area, the beach area is safe and the hotel lended us some bodyboards for our older kids to play with in the sea. Note that the bedroom balcony doors do not close 100% by design so you will heqr the waves at all time (which we liked to go to sleep) but it may not be for everybody....

« Amazing. Everything amazing »

« Superb few days with amazing staff, great food and a wonderful place. »

« Check in can be faster, takes way too long for checkin »

« Nice clean rooms and attentive staff, pool was heated and the location was walkable into certain surf spots; sticks, and marshmallow. Only issues is that the bathroom was slightly broken, sink was loose and shower door dragged. The staff we not familiar with Expedia payments, but this is common for the island as most hotels don’t like the idea of not being paid cash. This was sorted eventually but remember to show your payment receipt on check in. »

« Firstly the reservation hadn't been received so I had to pay for the room again and rely on a refund from Hotels.com. Nice room but very noisy with train line adjacent to the building. Location wasn't great with a 20 min walk into Ahangama and no nearby restaurant or food shops. I left one night early but no refund for the unused night from the hotel. Overall not a good experience. »
