Wonderful villa and lovation

Perfect for our needs, we were a group of seven adults. Villa well appointed, and the local host made sure we were comfortable and all set for our ten-day stay. He provided lots of restaurant suggestions - and even booked us a table at one place for our first night.The beach is a short walk down steps to the sea, shaded by bamboo, and a tricky walk over rocks (or a ten min swim) and you have a sandy beach too. Lovely to be able to pop down for a morning or evening dip without parking & when it’s quiet. Liked being near Argostoli for the museum and botanic garden - and bakeries. There are lovely swim spots all down the coast just outside Argostoli. We were lucky enough to be snorkelling and watched a loggerhead turtle - and even saw a seal! Apparently it’s one of the few places left to see monk seals. Felt very fortunate. Hired a boat one day, great to see the island from the sea. Kefalonia greener than other islands I’ve visited, and full of flowers and garden centres! Food wonderful, great hiking up the mountain (shaded by fir trees). Local honey farm worth a visit, and people very hospitable. Gorgeous sea and wonderful weather.

Wow what a find!!

We completely loved Fig & Olive!!! Not only is the villa stunning, location wonderful and beach one of our new favourites but the attention to detail and little touches made our stay really special. The owners have put a lot of thought into making guests comfortable. The beds and linen were super, loads of fluffy towels including beach towels! Kitchen very well stocked even my chef husband couldn’t complain. They even provided a cool box for beach days. BBQ is great and the pool is perfect for a refresher and letting the kids let off steam. Mid week service and pool regularly cleaned. The villa manger was beyond helpful and nothing was even any trouble. Welcome goodies so could sit down with a cuppa and relax after journey. So wholeheartedly recommend and we are desperate to book our next visit!!

A little slice of heaven

Enjoyed our stay immensely at Fig and Olive! Very clean and comfortable for the six of us that stayed there. It was lovely having our own pool to start or end a day of exploring the island. Loved having a covered porch to enjoy breakfast or a snack outside. The terrace off the main bedroom upstairs provided a lovely view and another nice place for our group to gather. There is close access to Pessada Beach but the stairway down would be hard for anyone with mobility issues. We loved the quiet of being off the beaten path but close to points of interest. Best to have a car to go exploring the many sights and stunning beaches. Myrtos Beach is a must!

lovely villa clean and wellequiped

stayed for 2 weeks with family, thoroughly enjoyed the pool which grandchildren were rarely out of. There was a bit of a climb to and from the beach which was very close, although rocky the water was very clear and even saw a turtle whilst snorkeling. Local restaurant close by had a good menu albeit a bit limited and very friendly and welcombed our children who were not always on their best behaviour. Villa manager, Will was great and extremely friendly and helpful and a mine of information about the island and where to go and best places to eat. Also arranged taxis and boat hire Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this villa and the people who own and run it

Perfection is Pesada

Perfectly sized villa for our Family stay, the kids spend most of the holiday in the pool. Fired up the BBQ most evenings after visiting the butcher ten minutes away with an exceptional setup. Villa was well equipped and the air conditioning coped with the 38 degrees outside. The host and team were very friendly and accommodating.

We had a great stay in Pesada. The villa was lovely, just as advertised, clean , new and great location. Will the manager was so helpful and really made our stay very special. We had a great time. Would highly recommend.

Fabulous Family Holiday

We had a brilliant week, the villa was lovely and had everything you needed. The pool and garden is very pretty. The owner, manager and cleaners were all very helpful and informative. It is only a 5 minute walk to the cute little beach and 10 minutes to the harbour where you can get the ferry to Zante. There was one restaurant which is open in peak season only. Just to be aware there are no shops nearby so you really need a car or use taxis like we did to travel around, there was 9 of us so it worked out relatively cheaply and the firm we used were excellent and very friendly. All in all a fantastic holiday.

Lovely location and great pool

We really enjoyed our time at the villa. We loved the pool an outside area. Basic inside area which could have been a little cleaner and a few things not working (for example living room lightbulbs, kitchen tab wobbly, TV not functional and no promised mid week clean). However the location right by the beach is perfect and we had a wonderful time with our family.

Lovely Villa On A Beautiful Island

We have just returned from a lovely week at Villa Mandalay in Kefalonia, it was perfect for what we needed as a party of 8 (5 adults and 3 kids under 10). Plenty of space to shelter from the sun during the day while keeping an eye on the kids who made full use of the private pool. The ice cool aircon was welcome in each bedroom after a day in the sun! If you are adventurous I would suggest hiring a car as the villa is quite out of the way and that can make grocery shopping a lot easier too, but we managed to get shopping delivered from a local supermarket with the help of the ever brilliant Emma, the villa manager. Emma helped to sort everything for us, including cabs for the wedding we were attending, and we couldn't be more thankful for her help, she's fantastic. On the subject of shopping, it is quite possible to walk to the minimarket at Spatia (we did this a couple of times), it is an hours round trip but essential for fresh fruit and it is worth going early (opens at 8am). The Sunset Taverna just a short walk away is great for a Greek Salad at lunchtime, a Souvlaki at dinner or just for a quick ice cream run. I'd read that the people there could be fairly miserable but if you engage with them and talk to them they are lovely people! Overall a lovely place and we would not hesitate to go back

Wonderful 2 week holiday

We have recently returned from a lovey 2 week family holiday at Villa Mandalay and we really didn’t want to come home!! The Villa was perfect for us and in a lovely quiet location with great sea views. Emma (manages the villa) was very helpful and very quick at responding to any queries we had. We highly recommend staying here.
