Nettes Hotel - auf den ersten Blick
Die Ankunft und die Rezeption war toll, netter und kompetenter Empfang, Rezeption sehr schön kühl. Ernüchternd dann das Zimmer: Für 4 Personen viel zu klein, Klimaanlage mangelhaft, da ungenügende Kühlung und viel zu laut. Das Bad war ol, allerdings muss im gesamten Zimmer einmal gründlichst gereinigt werden!!

The room was adorable and perfect. So clean and right across from the river. They provide tables and chairs outside every room. Very peaceful and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. We already booked rooms for our next visit!!!

Upon arrival we were greeted and welcomed. Convenient parking right in front of our room. And I loved the little individual patios. Very close to the river to take a stroll. Restaurants and shopping in walking distance.

If it’s available, we always like staying here. So happy they will take dogs now access to the park along the river and many restaurant choices walk right next-door, and have grapefruit and Cheryl’s! Right in the main part of Kernville.

To start there was poor communication. They don’t answer their after hours phone. The walls are paper thin. Literally can join the conversation of the room next to you. Not so clean. Old. Door locks are sketch. Bed was not comfortable. Paid way too much for this room. Maybe worth $70/night

We do appreciate all reviews, even the poor ones. We do answer our after hours number and actually did right after your arrival. We had no messages on this number or the office number from you. The property is old and actually one of the older ones in Kernville. The door locks are keyed door locks but all are in working order and most of them are fairly new. I already responded to you directly about your complaints of the room not being clean and the bed, please see other reviews. As far as what you paid for the room, you booked the room through and online travel agent and these prices are not set by the property.

I’ve stayed here numerous times during the past 10 years with a great group of motorcycle riders. We’ve always enjoyed the spot and the prior owners. This year the management was unfriendly. The man was overheard talking negatively about us and our group. Maybe time to use a different location.

Tom, When you say the man, I assume you ment me. The only thing I remember about your stay is coming to the parking lot when you arrived late to see if you needed anything and I gave you directions to the local brewery. Then You came to the office before we opened the next morning because you locked yourself out of your room, I gave you an additional key. The only thing "negative" I said about the group you were traveling with is I mentioned to my wife most of you did not complete your registrations after arriving late. We greatly appreciate your review and hope to see you again in the future.

The property is definitely average at best. The shower leaked all over the floor, looked like it had been a problem for a while. My biggest problem was with the “gentleman” (which he was not) at the counter, the female was pleasant to deal with. We stayed at the property with a group of friends, all driving nice vehicles. I was told I could park in front of my room, but in the morning my nice car was a disaster from the incorrectly adjusted sprinklers. They completely covered my car, & had already started to water spot. I was worried about it drying & having to spend hundreds of dollars having the car buffed out to try & removing the water spotting. However, when I approached the “gentleman” in the office about it, his response was less than professional. He immediately started making excuses & blamed it on a broken sprinkler & then rudely said “what do you want ME to do about it”. Judging from his demeanor, I decided to walk away & deal with it myself to avoid a bigger confrontation or worse. I simply said that I would write him an accurate review… Next time I go to that location, I’ll stay across the street at a different motel.

Two sides to every story. It did rain the night you stayed with us. I am sure you car was wet as were all of the cars parked outside in Kernville that night. I am not doubting the sprinklers got your car wet as well. I was not trying to be "rude" as you said but actually wanted to know what I could do to appease you. We hope you find accommodations more to your liking if you do return to Kernville.

I would pass on this one
A/C unit was on its last leg and could only drop the room 5 degrees from the outside temperature. The shower has no exhaust, so the room turned into a sauna. There was a smell from the wall that smelled like something had died in it.

Location: Absolutely Fabulous! walking to all restaurants, shops, River could not be better. Room: bathroom shower is tiny. but clean and totally functional. Microwave and Refrigerator great Bed: very comfortable and room was a good size outside: LOVE the chairs to sit in and read or go over plans for the day BUT they should move the smoking away from the front doors of the rooms
