  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Duckburgh

Wonderful property and excellent host. Everything has been updated and is in great shape. Very clean and host is very attentive. Property is on the beach with easy beach access right by the pool. Bonus restroom on the property right by the beach access which is very nice. Kitchen is well appointed with everything you need if you want to cook. Would definitely recommend to our friends.

Visited for a long weekend with a friend. one of the best locations in Duck. Close to the beach, ocean views and a pool are perfect. Also super convenient to restaurants and shops. My only suggestion would be to upgrade to smart tvs but otherwise great propert.

Weekend Getaway

We had a fabulous time! The condo was exactly as described in the listing. The balcony is a great way to pass the time while watching the waves roll in and you can’t beat the quick walk to the beach. We would definitely recommend Duckburgh!!

The property is lovely, very close to the beach and a short walk from the boardwalk and some great restaurants. Our main issue was that linen/towels etc weren’t included. As we flew in from overseas we couldn’t bring it with us and hiring at our expense was an unexpected cost which we felt should have been covered in the cost of the stay. We run a short-term let ourselves and provide all l Kinen, towels, tea, cider, shampoo etc. this would have made the stay 5*

Duckburgh was cozy and welcoming. The property owner was readily available to answer all inquiries and gave excellent restaurant recommendations. Just a short walk to the beach and to local shops. Our daughter was especially fond of the porch swing and enjoyed snacks while listening to the sounds of the ocean. It’s the perfect place for a beach get-away.

We loved our stay at Duckburgh. This unit was perfect for our family of 5. We loved how close we were to the beach and pool. It was only a 10 min walk over to the Duck boardwalk and shops. Great location and nice condo.

Great place to stay

The unit was very clean and updated and had tons of hooks to hang things, which I appreciated with our 4 kids. The view and location to downtown Duck were great. The pool was warm with lots of seating. The owners were very easy to work with, communication was great! The only thing I’d mention is for anyone with issues climbing stairs, maybe look for a unit on the first level.

Great Little Condo

We really enjoyed staying at this condo. It was a great size for our family of four. We loved the ocean view from the deck, the playground and the quick walk to the beach! Excellent and fast communication with the property manager as well. Would stay here again.

Perfect Location!

We had such a lovely stay at Duckburgh! The location is fabulous with only a few minute walk to the beach. It's also convenient to the main area of Duck, which we loved. The condo is clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The master bedroom shower was great, which isn't always the case in rental units.The hosts are so friendly and helpful and very communicative. We absolutely loved the deck and the view of the ocean. It was such a relaxing spot to listen to the waves crashing in. I loved reading out there. We would definitely return to this condo and recommend it very highly. Such a great spot!

Fantastic Stay

The stay at this location was amazing. The condo was a small walk to the ocean and had a great view on the deck. The stairs kept me in great shape as well! Overall it was nicely suited for 2 people and would go great for a group vacation as well. The property owner reached out to make sure all was well multiple times and was fantastic to work with! Couldn’t recommend this rental enough.

April Vacation

The condo unit was exactly as described and pictured! Although not in one of the buildings that are directly on the water, we could still hear and see the ocean (including dolphins!) from the deck with no obstruction. It felt just as close as the beachfront building where our friends were staying in the same complex. We were able to use the newly installed grills, and the condo unit had everything that we needed for that!

Best place for a couple to stay when visiting Outer Banks!

The Condo was spectacular! Everything as described. Beautiful view of the ocean and a short walk to the beach. Duck is best area to stay when visiting this region. Perfect weekend getaway

This condo on the top floor of the complex was perfect for my weekend getaway. I could see and hear the ocean from the balcony, and the porch swing was my very favorite spot of all. This place had just the right vibe for me - clean, comfy, modern, and close to the beach.

Perfect getaway!

We visited for a quick weekend away and this was the perfect place! Great location in Duck. Beautifully decorated and had everything needed in the kitchen, including a teapot which is often forgotten! Quick walk to the nice wide beach. It was wonderful to be able to sit on the balcony and watch the waves. Can't wait to visit again!
