« We visited at the end of April when this hotel was still under construction. It was a minor inconvenience as we paid for a âgarden viewâ when the view was a complete construction zone. They did upgrade our room size because of this. That being said, the restaurant was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. We stayed 2 nights and ate at the restaurant both nights. Their buffet breakfast is also amazing. Seeing that the hotel is no longer under construction, I would definitely stay here...
« Alpine Hotel staff are very helpful and friendly, and speak good English. The breakfast is an excellent buffet, augmented by Prosecco and smoked salmon on the Sunday morning we were there. The indoor pool is 17x8 mĂštres and very few people used it during our stay; a great way to exercise. They block off 2 hours in the afternoon for children the other sessions are mostly adults only The hotelâs situation in the very center of Wengen is really good for going shopping. If it is hot, ask reception...
« The bedroom and the hotel was so clean and fresh. The view of the Eiger from our bedroom was amazing and I never tired of seeing it. Staff were friendly but not intrusive. The hotel had a calm feel. Located slightly outside the town meant that it was a peaceful setting while still being close enough to facilities. I would certainty book to stay at Grindellodge again in I was holidaying in the area. »
