Listing says parking on site, there is not. Knoxville is a busy town and parking is always a consideration so the fact that we had to find street parking over a half mile away was no good. I would not have rented if that was clear. The apartment was good but has a wall of windows. The curtains do not cover the top windows and the loft bedroom is exposed and bright all night. The carpets upstairs need to be replaced as they are stained. The location is great with lots of good food and fun in walking distance but they need to fix the parking situation and add some additional curtains for the loft.
This is a fine place to stay. Some things to know are that this sits next to train tracks and feet from an overpass at eye level. So street lights and early morning trains can disrupt sleep. The unit is not a luxury unit. It was moderately clean and all finishes and furniture and linens are cheap and need a refresh (esp that white rug). Also itâs surrounded but views of homeless encampments. Parking is along the street with homeless a few feet away. Another thing to know is the couch is not a full out. There is a blow up mattress that is moderately comfortable Otherwise itâs good walking location. .
The condo itself is nice. It was clean however the furniture was showing it's age, not very comfortable and had some stains. The bed in the loft is terrible. Lumpy and noisy. There were only two bath towels available. When I reached out to management they suggested I check the washing machine. Well there were another two towels located wrapped up in some sheets and comforter in the dryer. The biggest gripe I had was the building was undergoing some construction that we were not informed of. We could have done without the two workers up on a cherry picker that were looking directly into the condo's upper windows. The location of the condo is good as it's about a 2-3 block walk to the market square downtown area. That is the ONLY good thing about the location. The condo is immediately adjacent to the train tracks and an overpass. Under the overpass is bum central. At least a dozen homeless set up their tent city under the overpass every night only to be chased out by the local police in the morning. They not only leave trash everywhere under the overpass, they have littered the entire area adjacent to the condo building as you walk down the street to your car. There is no on site parking even though they have an entire underground parking garage. You have to fight everyone else for the on street parking. The Balter brewery directly across the street is fantastic as is a whisky bar and a BBQ place down the street. We will never stay here again.
I stayed for an event at the Convention Center, which was a short walk away. Plenty of free parking on the street just outside. Host was very courteous and helpful. The place was great! Clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
only a few blocks from all the great attractions in the historic district. depending on crowds for activities such as concerts, there is typically parking on the street very close to property. responsive owners responded to our emails during our stay
Easy walk to Old City and great food at Balter Beerworks, right across the street. Be sure to visit Glitterville, also across the street, for a magical experience!
This location cannot be beat! The building security was excellent, and the neighborhood was close to everything. Great place and plenty roomy! (Listing shows only one bathroom but thereâs a half bath downstairs and the full bath up. Perfect!)
We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful loft apt with the sights and sounds of the city. Easy to find and short walk to the old city. The locked entrances helped me feel very safe. Price was perfect for and we will be repeat customers. Great check in and out process as well.
This loft was perfectly located to explore everywhere in Downtown and Old City. It was a quick walk to everything we wanted to see. The loft itself was a really cool, clean, comfortable space with everything we needed. Street parking was easy to find except for Saturday night when we counted 3 weddings in the area, but the brewery across the street let us park in their lot. The only negative -- which is no fault of the loft owners -- was the large homeless population living under the bridge the loft is next to. We saw a lot of unsavory things but since we live in another city and are used to urban grit, we found it more amusing than anything.
I grew up in Knoxville and visit occasionally, using home stay services to check out different areas of the city. This spot was a good home base for checking out the Old City, with easy walking access to there and the Gay St/Market Square area.
The place is "pseudo elegant" (I've stayed in places that tried harder to decorate) and relatively basic, and there's certainly no view worth mentioning out the windows or balcony, but everything was clean and functioning and the bed was fairly comfortable. Very solid overall.
This unit had the loft charm we were looking for â beautiful exposed brick and high windows. Well furnished and equipped. Bed is so comfortable, and the shower pressure is amazing! Easy walk downtown and nice brew pub across the street. Would stay again.
I loved my stay at this beautiful renovated lift. Lots of character with everything you need. The only downside was the neighborhood as it was next to the train tracks and you could hear the commercial trains running during the day and night as well as the area below the loft that was very dirty with a lot of trash and homeless people. Since I stayed alone I had to make sure I was in the apartment before sunset. Aside from that great location and close to downtown and old city.
Property is in excellent location - walking distance to Gay Street - secure/safe - very clean and well kept - comfortable - property manager very responsive to our questions
Very easy check-in process. Comfortable bed. GREAT location to Old City and right across the street from Balter Beerworks! Would definitely stay again!
