Due to Covid problems and restrictions there was a lack of staff so no breakfasts were served and only dinner served Mon-Friday. This has been the hardship experienced by the hospitality industry generally and I can’t speak highly enough of the excellent customer service we received under these difficult times.

Unfortunately not a lot of choice in Kununurra so gave Country Club another go. Still average at best.

Chef and service staff were excellent; especially the Vanuatu service ladies at the restaurant. Room 72 has a continuously problematic cistern and cracked/broken glass on shower door.

Airport transfer drivers were lovely! Reception in and out were like robots, no assistance offered, self check in would have been more friendly, first lunch was excellent, pool temp was too cold to swim in, we did not see a swimmer in the week we stayed. One dinner in Kelly’s Bar was less than OK, one room service was disgusting, we ate out every other meal. Room looked serviced on the odd days that they were, floors left gritty, consumables not replaced. Two single beds pulled together making a hard ridge in the middle is not a king bed in a king room charging $200+ per night. Room poorly located on exterior boundary open to local traffic and internal service road. No value at $200+ per night - other guests spoke of the same to us and Visitor Information had heard similar complaints, made recommendations elsewhere - not good enough, Country Club couldn’t care less. As a returned guest, I won’t be back.

Never going back!
Breakfast of poached eggs and bacon delivered cold. Dinner of barramundi was terrible. Over cooked and rubbery and slathered with inedible sauce/mayo. Disgusting iron which I was expected to use on my business shirts. The photo is AFTER I had scrubbed it as clean as I could. Admittedly they did replace it when asked, however with the cheapest (and smallest) model on the market. Reception continually overcharged me for bottled water, and after twice correcting them, I found when I received my emailed receipt, they did it again on checkout!

Thank you for your feedback. We offer complimentary late check out until 12 noon and charge a fee for check outs after 12 noon October to March. Guests are also welcome to check out and store their bags and use the facilities until their flights. This information is available in the in-room compendiums and we will follow up with our staff to ensure it is being communicated upon request.

Having such a lovely hotel with everything you need so close to town was great. An easy walk to have a look around Kunnunurra and then back to the comfort of the Country Club was all we could ask for. The restaurant where we ate both nights was lovely, with a variety of food to suit all tastes. We would definitely recommend KCCR.

Convenient hotel with lush gardens
Liked where we stayed, only downside was that we were woken up several times by human noises outstide, probably due to where our room was located. If I stayed there again I would ask to be the furtherest away from the laneway(near public pool) where lots of people cut through.

We found receptionist on arrival very welcoming. Having arrived by air, thus, without wheels to take our luggage close to our room. We found the lack of continuous paving very tough on our larger luggage ( blue metal ) Lovely, well located place of accommodation.

Thank you for your review - we are glad you found your arrival at our Resort particularly welcoming! Unfortunately, yes, there is one section of the Resort where the paving ends to cross a small carpark. We aren't able to do much to fix it at this point, and we hope your luggage ended up okay!

Nice hotel in central area
Goot hotel, close to all the shops etc. Good laundry facilities which we're much needed after returning from Kimberley camping trip. Meals very good. Only negative was our room upstairs and no lifts.

Thank you for your review. We find a lot of people come in straight from camping in Gibb River or the Bungles, fully ready for a little luxury and a comfortable sleep! It's great that you enjoyed our brand new laundry, constructed just prior to the beginning of the tourist season this year. Our budget Queen rooms are upstairs only, and the online travel agents should all be advertising this as such. If there is any conflicting information, please contact us directly with the location online and we will have it fixed immediately. We would love to have a lift on the property, however, being a remote property, we find the cost and maintenance of such a system prohibitive. If there's a particular problem with stairs, please use the message system through your online agent to let us know ("If no lift, ground floor please") and our Reservations Team will be able to either move you to a comparable room, if available, or advise you of the necessary upgrade to accommodate your needs. Thank you.

Central, convenient and clean
Rooms were very comfortable and clean and cooled down very easily which is a big plus in Kununurra. Location could not be more central if looking to explore the town ... which can be done pretty quickly.

Thank you for your review. We find our central location one of the biggest convenience factors for our guests - everything is so handy in town, and yet, with all our tropical garden, you would think you were miles away! We are delighted you enjoyed your stay with us, and hope you visit again.

Thank you for your review. We are a property of hotel rooms - in no way have we ever advertised ourselves as self-catering accommodation. We supply tea- and coffee-making facilities, and a jug with glasses in our refrigerators for water consumption. We do not provide any further cutlery or crockery, nor are there toasters or microwaves in the rooms. This is not to drive guests to our restaurant - in fact, we openly provide information on our Walking Map for other local restaurants in town also. This is because it is what we are licensed for. If you have found any information to the contrary on the internet, we would greatly appreciate you contacting us directly so that we can correct it - we would hate for others to also leave our property with an unsatisfactory experience.

The place to stay in Kununurra
Definitely the place to stay in Kununurra. Particularly if you haven't hired a car as it is located right next to the town centre. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable accommodation and good food from attached restaurant.
