„My friends and I came away very pleased with our no-frills wilderness camping on Rod's property. He has the best view of the Huron Mtns I've seen, with a better perspective on the south faces than Pt Abbaye. They really lit up in the sun with peak color all over. We also loved his sweet dog Max, who quickly pivoted from intimidating bark at strangers to "dare you to try to take my stick" playfulness in seconds.I would go back in a heartbeat, but I did take off 1 star for listing accuracy only ...

„Found these cottages by chance & we’re so grateful. It seemed that EVERY other place was booked; required multiple night stays, or would not allow pets. Our request was granted promptly thru VRBO, as usual. Admittedly, it was strange not having a hotel clerk to admit us, but we were used to it w VRBO. „Beautiful view of the lake in winter! Perfect location to Nordic ski and skijor at Tech Trails and Swedetown. The internet service was unusually strong for the UP. We were able to stream multiple devices at the same time. Great communication with the owner, including during a blizzard. We were warm and had power. Thank you for the wonderful memories. “
