The stairs to the second floor bedrooms are very steep and challenging, especially when carrying up luggage or for older guests. Only one smoke detector, fine for a small house, but the batteries were low, and it was linked to the alarm system and kept beeping every few hours, which was irritating. I did call the host to see if there's a way to hush the notification, but she never called me back. She was initially very proactive with contact, just not that time for whatever reason.
