« The location was great, with a lot of restaurants, stores, and amenities within walking distance. The room was perfect. With a lot of attention to cleanliness, style, and ambience. it was like a 50s time capsule. The hosts were timely in communication and highly responsive. I had a wonderful stay. Will be back again. »

« Awesome location, right on the river and less than a mile walk to the heart of Helen. If you like tubing, it is right next to the tubing company. The house is beautiful and furnishings match the wine theme. It was great to sit on the back deck and listen to the river at night. We had one, minor issue when we arrived and the owner was very responsive and got it fixed quickly. I hope to stay here again soon. »

« The property owner is awesome to communicate with and willing to answer any questions you many have. The little bungalow is so beautiful and clean. We have stayed in many different places in Helen, but this one will be our place for now on. The cozy feeling of home away from home just made our stay perfect. »

« We had a lovely time at Honey Bear Hideaway, the location is excellent for tourists. We enjoyed the home immensely was nice, big, and best of all we were able to travel with our Huskies. This was just what we needed for a relaxing vacation. »

« Wonderful Stay at this Beautiful Property !We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely home with amazing mountain views and hope to come back again. It was so peaceful, private and in a nice location plus watching the farm animals close by from the porch was super — especially for our 5 year old grandson. The owners are quite thoughtful with nice touches like labels for light switches, making coffee available along with a kitchen full of dishes pots and anything needed to cook at home, paper...

« Great location and honest portrayal in ad pictures and accommodations online. Operating company communications was excellent and attentive, even when there were no issues. We will be back in Helen and will give this company our business. »

« Awsome stay and awsome location. We loved the coca cola themed decor of the apartment. The balcony overlooking the Chatahoochee river was great for relaxing during the evening. Location is a few minutes walk to downtown and local attractions. You will not go wrong staying at this property. »

« Property was conviently located close to all of the restaurants and shops. The Pink pig BBQ is in walking distance and absolutely delicious. I loved how spacious the property was and the view from the bedroom balcony was great. I would definitely stay here again and maybe book a longer stay next time. »

« We had the best time at Retreat 52! I took 5 "kids" (20, 18, 15, 15, 13) for a long weekend, visiting from Illinois. Things we loved:Hot tub was clean and nice.Fire pit area well lit and perfect for smores!Plenty of room in the house.Felt safe. Kids enjoyed playing pool (first time for a couple).Overall cozy feel.The porch was amazing!Host was helpful and responsive!Other notes:Would have liked to be able to see the golf course.Not recommended for anyone with trouble with stairs, lots of stairs...

« The property was flawless! The kitchen actually had everything you needed - which is not often the case with rentals. Beds and sheets comfy. Very clean. »

« The house was great. We enjoyed the dock and porch immensely as well as the game room in the evenings. We rented a pontoon boat and jet skis from C & E marine and took the boat Al the way to see Clemson stadium from the lake. House was very comfortable and clean. Hot tub was nice too. Kitchen was well stocked for our family of 4. Owners were very responsive to our questions »

« Our family of 13 spent 3 nights. This home is beautiful. The lay out of bedrooms and bathrooms worked great for our family of 7 adults and 6 kids. Location was excellent. Our stay was fabulous. »

« Our family had an amazing time at this house. The host was very responsive and accommodating. The view of the lake is amazing at sunset and the easy access to it made daily water activities a must. Definitely make use of those kayaks! The home was well cared for and very cozy. We found that we needed to grab things like hand soap and TP at the grocery store, but that was no biggie. Would absolutely stay here again. »
