Schöne und gut eingerichtete Ferienwohnung
Die Wohnung liegt ruhig (die Bahnlinie direkt hinter dem Haus ist nicht stark frequentiert), ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, alles ist da und funktioniert. Die Vermieter wohnen direkt nebenan und sind sehr nett. Der Garten ist wunderschön und darf mitbenutzt werden.

Wonderful place to stay
As soon as you pull up you can't fail to be inspired by the properties grounds. The cottage itself was lovely and had everything we needed. Ideal base for walks in the Forest of Bowland, Yorkshire Dales and Lake District. Would strongly recommend and would definitely go back.

Beautiful Setting
The property was well furnished and very much a home from home. The owners are lovely and the surrounding gardens are stunning. You need to drive to the nearest shops, pubs etc., but that is not a problem. The surrounding countryside is well worth exploring. We definitely hope to visit again.

Quiet and peaceful.
It was a bit difficult to find at first, but after that it was okay. You drive in the entrance on to a large gravel area, in front is a large lawned area, trees of al types and sizes and a small pond. Breath taking. The cottage was spotless and so comfortable. Felt like home. Didn't want to leave.

Gîte très confortable entouré de nature
Clive et Lucy nous ont accueilli dans un gîte très agréable et confortable entouré d'un merveilleux jardin. Il y a beaucoup d'espace plusieurs petites terrasses, des étangs... Et tout autour les collines avec les moutons ! Il y a de belles randonnées à faire dans la région.

There was a fault on the heating boiler which we were not informed about at first. We immediately got a heating engineer who fixed the problem immediately.

Beautiful area and gardens. Good centre for walking and cycling Lancashire and north Yorkshire
Ideal for two one downstairs loo and shower might be a problem for four people for a week or more. We had a very enjoyable visit.

Wonderful stay
We had a fantastic stay in August. The house was welcoming, spacious and clean and had everything we needed. The gardens were beautiful. Fantastic location allowing trips to the Lakes, the Dales, Lancaster and the coast but plenty of lovely walks and bike rides (helpfully suggested by Clive) close by. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful holiday.

As soon as we walked into the cottage we began to relax. Everything was spotless, COVID safe and very welcoming. A real home from home. Lots of lovely walking and cycle paths to follow nearby and places to visit. The photos don’t do the cottage and beautiful gardens justice. Wow. As soon as we pulled up to the property it was gorgeous. Easy directions on how to find it to as postcode didn’t recognise. Easy access. Very warm and cosy with fabulous views. Definitely stay again and would most certainly recommend.

The cottage was as expected from the reviews online... It was clean tidy and spacious. We appreciated the warmth and ability to dry clothes and dogs bit easily given that it rained quite a lot during the weekend. The gardens and grounds were very impressive and well kept and there was plenty of room for the dogs to run around in the adjacent fields. Quite a lot of thought has gone into making of the state as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Certainly recommend it to others.

Purrrrrrrrrrfect
Spent a week over Christmas with husband and cat. The cottage was attractive, warm and cosy and surrounded by a beautiful garden and farmland. The location is very good for accessing many attractive places, although we mainly stayed in and chilled out in comfort. The cat enjoyed walks around the garden and took pleasure in locating the homes of the local mice, and looking at the sheep.

Easy to check in . Very helpful hosts. Beautiful locality and lovely holiday home. Only negative would be that you should be aware that you can't walk anywhere from address due to lack of pavements and night time lighting. You also have to walk over a cattle grid which is not good with dogs. Didn't spoil our time there though as an excellent base for visiting sites. Locals are really friendly too

Geat place to stay in a great area
1. This is a lovely cottage, comfortable, clean, roomy and very well equipped. And as it was October - warm too. One of the best we have stayed in. And Lucy and Clive are very friendly and helpful 2. The area is so diverse there is no time to be bored. The Forest of Bowland is glorious countryside and you might get to see a Hen Harrier (we did). Interesting villages and Browsholme Hall is well worth a visit. No shortage of places to ramble. 3. You are 40 minutes from the Lake District and the North York Moors. The Ribblehead viaduct is 30 minutes away and was saved for the nation by Michael Portillo - he of the pink jacket and green trousers. 4. There are plenty of places to see within an hour including the Bronte museum and Shibden Hall the home of Gentleman Jack as well as Wordsworths houses and Beatrix Potters. 5. Plenty of good pubs serving excellent Yorkshire beer (second only to Cornish) and pies to die for as well as a range of good pub food. Try the game pie at the local Tatham Bridge Inn. 6. Good range of shops in Lancaster and Kirkby Lonsdale. If you go to Settle drop in at the Courtyard Dairy and try the cheese. It's on the by-pass. 7. And if you can sing they would love to see you at Tatham church on Thursday evenings where they sing anything from Mozart to Abba. Enjoy. We did.

Nice accommodation on fantastic grounds
The property is situated within a wonderful garden in a rural location. Local towns and attractions are easily accessible by car. The accommodation is comfortably kitted out, and provides an idilc setting for recharging relaxation
